9-5 jobs are comfort money. They give you just enough money to make it hard to leave. Then you buy a house, get a car, have kids. Then it's too much risk to leave the job. Next thing you know, you blink, and you're 60.

By far, the best Tesla for a road trip is the Cybertruck. It’s the most comfortable model by a mile. As a truck, there is so much room up front that it feels like sitting in a mini lounge while FSD drives you. Speaking of FSD, it’s smooth as butter in the Cybertruck. They have really refined the driving dynamics, and it can definitely drive better than I can. The truck will handle all your charging stops, navigation, and everything with just a press of a button. The Cybertruck’s massive 420L Air Suspension and huge 35" tires soak up everything. The ride is nothing like a traditional truck. It is more akin to an SUV, but in the best way possible. It doesn’t have that bouncy solid rear axle feeling that gas trucks have. It’s a very luxurious ride. There is also something to be said for a vehicle with no paint that can’t get dented or scratched easily. It feels like it can take on anything on the road. That is very underrated. Lastly, and obviously, it’s great having a 6-foot bed to store all types of luggage and cargo. There is no shortage of room if you want to go shopping etc.

I have chosen to drive my Tesla on FSD multiple times instead of flying. In the past year, I’ve done multiple ~20-hour days driving continuously on FSD, covering over 1,000 miles daily without ever needing to touch the steering wheel. We just took a trip from Toronto to Nashville as well. It was 900 miles one way, which we completed in a single day (18 hours), and it was way more economical (and fun) than flying. Before that, I did Toronto to Austin, TX (3,200 miles round trip) TWICE in July and November — all in my Model 3 Performance. Would I attempt these drives without FSD? No way. I literally push a button on the screen, and the car handles all the charging stops, traffic, navigation, and everything. It’s so easy. If you’re an avid road tripper, there’s no better car to do it in than a Tesla.

The Billionaire Tax is actually an Everyone Tax. The Billionaire Tax is a new tax proposal written by four professors who don't believe in the American dream. Some of them aren’t even American…go figure. Despite its name, it applies to every California resident who currently has assets or ever will. The creators named it the Billionaire Tax so you would get into a froth andwouldn't look closely at what it actually does to you. On page twenty-six, it explains how the government can convert to an Everyone Tax without voter approval. They can also adjust the tax to be a yearly tax, not just one time…again, without your approval. Here's how the tax would work: As a voter, you're being asked to approve a tax that would require you to: 1. list all your assets and the value of each, then submit them to the California Franchise Tax Board. 2. authorize the tax board to appraise your assets and confirm the value of each. 3. pay a penalty of up to forty percent of your tax bill if the board determines your reported value was too low in their opinion. 4. allow the tax board to subpoena your financial records from every one of your financial institutions for auditing. This Everyone Tax runs 34 pages of shifty language describing how the government plans to take your assets. Read the fine print and decide for yourself. If this were truly a billionaire tax, it would be 3 pages. It’s 34 pages so that it can create the mechanisms to steal from all of you.

There is probably no bigger crime against humanity than the destruction of the United Kingdom. England in the 90s, where I grew up, was actual paradise. The pub gardens, the white people, oasis with fish and chips. There were full bars and clubs 7 nights a week in every single town let alone city. Always something to do. Even if you were poor, go out with a tenner and have the best time. 10,000 pound night today is 1% of what a 10-pound night was back then. Neighborly people. Safe streets. Even the council estates were safe. You had to live it to understand it. Everything’s been destroyed.

Another contrast: when Steve Jobs became iCEO of Apple and for the next 4 years, he had literally $1 annual salary, AND ONLY 1 Apple share to his name. No options. No other comp plan. Literally 0. With basically no voting power, he was able to replace the entire board of directors and completely change the direction of Apple and do what he wanted. That’s what founders do. I’ve never seen a founder as greedy as Elon!
Hamid@hamids

With SpaceX, @elonmusk owns ~40% of the company, PLUS, his shares have super-majority voting rights. Despite this, if the post below is true, Elon has STILL asked for a massive compensation package! Which means all the talk about how "it's not about money, it's about being able to control $TSLA because AI is too powerful" was pure 🐂 💩 It's about the money! Even though he's literally the richest person on the planet. Anybody who still believes everything Elon says is an absolute fool.

@hamids @elonmusk Whatever he gets 40% of it comes from his own pockets. Instead of bitching, why don’t u try to get that 420% of that increase in shares price? You won’t, you know why? Because you’re too stupid to worry about your own $ and too busy worrying about others $.

SpaceX just gave its CEO the most ambitious incentive in history A draft of SpaceX's IPO prospectus reveals a new 60M-share award for Elon Musk, vesting in $500B market cap increments as the company scales What he must deliver: • Grow SpaceX to $6.6T market cap (~420% increase from current valuation) • Build space-based AI data centers • Scale toward 100 terawatts of AI compute per year Elon also personally bought $1.4B of SpaceX stock last year he's ALL-IN 🚀

@GerberKawasaki People don't care what company they use to get a ride. They only care about price. I open both uber and lyft whenever I need to go somewhere. Put in the destination, and whichever one is cheaper I use. When robotaxi comes, that will be the cheapest option.
