During our last Annual General Meeting, the 2023-2024 @IshnOrg President was elected: Russell A. Johnson takes over from Dr @Manon_Auffret. Russell A. Johnson, M.A., M.L.S., has been Curator for History of Medicine & the Sciences at @UCLA Library Special Collections since 2008.

Final day of the #ISHNRennes2023 meeting: 3 symposia,on "Vision & perception", "Controversies in Neurology" and " Neurology & Endocrinology", followed by the @IshnOrg Annual General Meeting.

Day 4 of the #ISHNRennes2023 meeting. A full day of symposia : "Neurology & Edvard Munch", a @PharmHist joint symposium on pharmacology (with BSHP president Chris Duffin), "Electricity & the brain" and "Neurology in Early Cinema".

It was a nice coincidence to present a 'brief history of EEG' at the international society for the History of the neurosciences (ISHN) held in Rennes by @Manon_Auffret. Almost the same day as Hans Berger recorded the 1st EEG on a human brain! 🧠🧠

Day 3 of the #ISHNRennes2023 meeting : "Neurology in Lithuania" symposium, our invited speaker Prof. Yves Agid (a fascinating lecture on great discoveries), @SaintMaloVille, a gala dinner & the announcement of the @IshnOrg & @ISHNISHN1 award winners at the Domaine du Montmarin !

Day 2 of the #ISHNRennes2023 meeting : a busy day, with talks (including Dr @Manon_Auffret's presidential lecture), posters, the Conservatoire du Patrimoine Hospitalier de Rennes (#CPHR) exhibitions and a guided tour of @metropolerennes !

Day 1 of the #ISHNRennes2023 meeting : after an opening session led by Erwan Flécher and @Manon_Auffret, the program gave way to the day's various symposia (Neurology in Western 🇫🇷, Memory, Neuropathology & Psychiatry), a special exhibition and a welcome reception.

Our President, Dr Chris Duffin, attended the 27th Annual Conference of @IshnOrg in Rennes giving papers (Anti-epileptic Gems & Amulets, & Austro-Bavarian folklore approaches to Epilepsy). Thanks to @IshnOrg President @Manon_Auffret for the invitation to convene a joint session.
