Earlier this afternoon, District 6 Patrol officers found on Dunn Avenue near Haverford Road. We’re trying to determine who she is and where her family might be so we can get her home safely. She between 5’00” and 5’05” and weight between 280 and 300 pounds. She has brown eyes and short grey hair. She’s wearing a black and white dress and no shoes. 𝐉𝐒𝐎 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐲𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 Our District 2 Patrol officers and Task Force officers shut down a teen takeover at Blue Cypress Park after the group became very large (200+ teenagers) and started fighting. We arrested three teen girls for their roles in the fights. One subgroup of the teen takeover moved to an apartment complex near the park. That’s where we received reports of a discharging of a firearm, but there is no evidence anyone was shot. Those teens tried to return to the park, but our officers had already blocked it off. Other officers monitored the other teens’ activities, making sure other pop up takeovers didn’t happen. The park will be closed the rest of the night. We are constantly monitoring events like this, allowing our officers to be extremely prepared for any violence that occurred. Our District 2 Patrol officers even held roll call at the park to increase their presence there. But parents and caregivers, enough is enough. Please be aware and alert about what your teen is up to. Help us cut down on these takeovers by monitoring how your teen is spending their time and who they’re with. Please do not drop them off to locations without knowing why they’re there.

𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 ‘𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬’? On Tuesday, March 17 around 12:30 p.m., this environmentally “conscious” couple visited a department store on Beach Boulevard near Hodges Boulevard for some St. Patrick’s Day shopping.   The man began in the men’s section, selecting several clothing items. He was soon joined by his partner, who placed those items into reusable shopping bags before heading to the women’s section to pick out a few items of her own. You guessed it… those items also found their way into the same bags.   We’re all for reducing waste, reusing bags, and protecting our environment. But real sustainability includes supporting businesses the right way: paying for the items you take home.   Instead of heading to the checkout, this pair skipped that step entirely and walked their reusable bags straight out of the store, loading them into a black Kia before leaving the area.   Protecting the planet isn’t an excuse for shoplifting. Sometimes, it takes two to make a thing go right… During Monday’s storms, Community Service Officers Joseph Sierk and Jayson Gaston worked together to remove debris to clear one of our roadways, making it safer for drivers to get home. A sergeant with our Traffic Enforcement Unit caught the teamwork in action. Our CSOs are a special part of our agency. Lauren was reported missing to us after she left her New Town home late Tuesday night. Lauren was last seen off 6th Street near Kings Road. We’re working hard to return her home safely.  Lauren is 5’03” and 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown and black long dreds. Don’t test your luck by drinking and driving tonight. This St. Patrick’s Day, our D.U.I. Unit isn’t hunting for leprechauns. They’re on high alert for impaired drivers on our roads. If you’re celebrating tonight, use a rideshare or designated driver to get home safely. If you’re driving under the influence, don’t expect a clover or two but a set of shiny silver bracelets.

𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫-𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝-𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Sheriff T.K. Waters and Undersheriff Shawn Coarsey shared details about an officer-involved-shooting. This happened on Spring Park Road off Bowden Road around 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.  Around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, District 3 Patrol officers responded to the Gate gas station for an armed robbery call. Minutes before the officers arrived, a middle age white man walked into the gas station. He waited for the other customers to leave before he pulled out a handgun in front of the employees. The suspect instructed them to exit the store and call police. The suspect made comments about wanting to harm himself. While the employees were outside, the suspect opened the door and threatened to come out shooting before closing the door again. When officers arrived, he made comments to the officers he would shoot. He opened the door, raised his gun, and started walking quickly to the officers. One officer fired his rifle multiple times, hitting the suspect. The suspect, who has not been identified at this time, passed away at the scene.    The officer who fired the shots is Officer H. Cascante. No officers were injured.    This is the 6th officer-involved-shooting this year for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The State Attorney’s Office is on scene, completing its investigation. Once its investigation is complete, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will conduct its own investigation.

The suspect was 49-year-old Michael Krause Jr. He passed away at the scene.

We are on the scene of an officer-involved-shooting on Bowden Road near I-95. All officers are okay. Please avoid the area. We will provide more details when available.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Commander of Specialized Investigations Jordan Dowling shared details about a shooting that happened on Monday, March 16, 2026, after a suspect fired multiple shots at Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers. Around 10:55 p.m. Monday night, officers attempted to stop a vehicle in a traffic stop at the intersection of East 26th Street and Haines Street in the Talleyrand area. Instead of stopping for the officers, at least two suspects exited the vehicle and took off running. The officers ran after them, and the foot chase continued to East 28th Street. While on East 28th Street, officers were shot at multiple times by a suspect inside a home. Thankfully, nobody was hit by the gunfire. The officers did not return fire. The officers surrounded the house and commanded the people inside the home to exit. They complied and were taken into custody. One of the suspects involved in the traffic stop was taken into custody. We are still searching for another suspect who took off running from the stopped vehicle. We do not believe there is any threat to the public at this time. Our initial investigation shows there is no connection between the suspects involved in the traffic stop and the suspect who fired shots at the officers.

Not Quite…” Wanted Wednesday post, where her cart took a sharp turn straight into Duval County Jail. 🔹 𝐉𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐳 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐝 - Arrested March 3, 2026 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡: Fraudulent or Illegal Use of Credit Cards to Obtain Foods; Possess/Receive/Retain Stolen Credit or Debit Card; Credit Card Theft; Petit Theft On April 7, 2024, Dillard stole a woman’s wallet and tried to use her credit card twice. Further investigation, by our detectives, linked him to about a dozen vehicle burglaries and nearly $12K in fraudulent charges. 🔹 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐭 - Arrested February 16, 2026 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡: Grand Theft On November 6, 2025, Greenewalt brought empty boxes into a retail store, pretended to make a return, then walked out with more than $880 in unpaid merchandise. 🔹 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 - Arrested February 25, 2026 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡: Burglary to a Dwelling or Structure with Damage in Excess of $1,000 While Wearing a Hood or Mask On June 21, 2025, Brice climbed a garden center fence, used a forklift to break through glass doors, and tried to pry open a safe. Nothing was taken, but the damage totaled more than $24,000. 🔹 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐫.- Arrested February 17, 2026 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡: Petit Theft On January 13, 2026, Morrison entered a woman’s backyard and took her $200 bicycle. 🔹 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧 - Arrested February 21, 2026 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡: Felony Petit Theft and Petit Theft On October 7, 2025, Jackson a retail store through the emergency exit with two safes that cost around $160. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is always out, keeping our roads safe. But tonight, DUI and Traffic Enforcement are working a special detail near the beaches to combat drunk and aggressive driving. The multi-agency Wolfpack is being held in honor of Jack Wheeler, who was killed by a drunk driver in 2019.

𝐌𝐀𝐉𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐑𝐔𝐆 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐑, 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍 If you’re dealing drugs in Jacksonville, we’re coming for you. After a six-month long investigation, our Narcotics Unit dismantled a drug trafficking organization operating out of the Grand Park area, leading to the felony arrests of major trafficker 52-year-old Chaun Floyd and 33-year-old twin brothers Jamon and Jaron Wright. In August 2025, detectives identified four houses being used to sell illegal drugs. As the investigation continued, those houses were connected to Floyd and the Wright brothers. Turns out, federal partners were also tracking Floyd, so we teamed up with the DEA and ATF for an even better case. After months of surveillance and investigative work, our detectives made their move. On February 20, 2026, the JSO SWAT Team and DEA SWAT Team hit all four locations at the same time, alongside our Narcotics Unit, District 1 Bike Squad, and Gang Unit. Here’s what detectives seized: -711 grams of Powder Cocaine -654 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine -9.2 grams of Crack Cocaine -More than 10 pounds of Marijuana -9 Firearms, one of which was reported stolen -More than $350K in cash -Two vehicles -Two necklaces valued at $60K During the search warrants, the Wrights’ other brothers — Ronyeah (30), Willie (27), and Ahmed (26) — were arrested on misdemeanor charges. Essentially, the Wright brothers’ criminal family business was grounded. Floyd was a close family friend.
