Excited to see our paper now online science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…! By integrating a dataset of ~116,000 Omicron genomic sequences with epi and human mobility data, we investigate the invasion dynamics of Omicron BA.1 into England and its local dissemination at multiple spatial scales.

This work, together with previous studies of the Alpha & Delta wave in the UK, provides a unique opportunity for future studies to better understand drivers that shaped their different transmissions patterns and to gain insights for designing more nuanced targeted interventions.
