Reconstructed influenza A/H3N2 infection histories using multipanel serology, paper finally out! Original thread here: x.com/jameshay218/st…
PLOS Biology@PLOSBiology
How do repeated #flu infections generate such a complex immune landscape? @jameshay218 @SRileyIDD &co estimate #influenza A/H3N2 lifetime infection histories for 1,130 people, yielding incidence & antibody patterns across age, location & time #PLOSBiology plos.io/3YIDQpt

—nonpharmacologic intervention (masking, physical distancing)
—reduced international travel
—change in virus lineage dwell times

Thrilled to see our work tracking the routes and means of SARS-CoV-2 variant spread in Chile and South America in @PNASNexus! academic.oup.com/pnasnexus/adva…
Bernardo Gutierrez@B_Gutierrez_G
Our latest preprint explores the routes of importation of SARS-CoV-2 variants into Chile during 2021 by integrating genomic and human mobility data, a fantastic interdisciplinary collaboration sparked by @leoferres and colleagues at @ispch medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

The Oropouche virus expansion in Brazil was a concerning case of arbovirus emergence outside of its endemic range, and so many questions remained!
We aimed to answer some of them by integrating landscape phylogeography and ecological niche modelling!
