I have seen many posts from mainstream Christian accounts, mainly from the faith alone crowd, that they somehow take pride in calling themselves sinners. How? When I sin, I go into depression mode for days and all I can pray is: Father, I know my prayers are an abomination to you right now, please forgive me, and please, if you can hear me How do you take pride in that? How can you wear being a sinner like a badge?

This needs to be said here and now! You don’t need a degree in theology or any college degree, for that matter, to understand the Bible. The greatest Teacher isn’t a professor with a wall full of diplomas, the greatest Teacher is the Holy Spirit. This Bible was written so that a child who reads it with an open heart and the Holy Spirit can understand it better than a scholar who approaches it with only human wisdom. Too often, PhDs and theologians have taken something simple and powerful and made it complicated, confusing, and almost powerless. They’ve buried the living Word under layers of opinions and traditions. Whether you barely finished elementary school or you have more degrees than a thermometer, open the Bible for yourself. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you. Read it like a child, hungry and honest and listen directly to Jesus. You will hear Him speaking. ♥️
