Great picture here of sometime Hawkwind conga player Al Matthews, who would have been 80 today. Al had previously played with Richie Havens and had a top 20 hit with 'Fool' in 1975. He lived opposite HW manager Doug Smith and got roped into a number of tours in the early 70s! 1/2
