@JeremyVineOn5 @lara_e_brown @theJeremyVine Girl guides is a female club males should never have been allowed access to. Males with gender identity issues can join a unisex club eg:scouts. Or Girl guides could decide to also become unisex and call its self guides rather than girl guides.

@salltweets @TalkTV He's a misogynist,there's no other explanation for not allowing women/ girls their rights to some single sex female spaces/services. Males (regardless of alterations or behaviour) are not women. BB knows this, but he cares more about males feeling than female rights/safety.

The idea that a man can be a woman/go into women’s spaces if he has had “the surgery” is as absurd as the idea that a man is a woman if he just says it. 1. Women are not castrated men. 2. A potential feature of autogynephilia is a castration fetish, so you’re potentially dealing with the *most* perverted men. 3. Human rights cannot be contingent on sterilization, and castration is sterilization. In fact one theory as to why “self ID” was pushed so ferociously is because governments realized they had constructed laws on the basis of sterilization & were therefore guilty of human rights abuse. WHOOPS. The fact is, this whole issue is a mess that can only be cleaned up by being intellectually honest: men who claim to be women are men. Full stop.

@polblonde I had a similar experience with a Lib Dem canvasser: Me: What is a woman. LD: It's very complicated. Me: Is a trans woman a woman. LD: Absolutely.... Silence ensued and he sloped off red faced.

Labour canvasser knocked on doors in my street last night. My neighbour asked what is a woman. 'Hard for me to say,' she said. This is why (as I told her) I no longer vote Labour.

@brookseybabe @imalady18 @ThomasWillett9 The issue 1. Legal,you cant call a space/service girls and include males.2. That some girls may be a friends with males isn't relevant. If girl guides want to include some males they have to change the name to eg: guides. a unisex group. We already have a unisex group ,scouts.

Girls are being banned from Girlguides. Why? Because a small group of wealthy, well-connected transphobes decided to target children and make their lives a misery instead of focusing on real issues.

The Supreme Court ruling is being weaponised to bully previously inclusive organisations into abandoning members of their own community. @bindelj if womens means female sex (as clarified by the supreme court ) in relation to a single sex space/service in this case a prison. How can a male be housed there?
