The working class is already divided. If I could get rid of one piece of stereotypical left discourse it’s the notion that there’s any essential, guaranteed working class unity & any “disunity” is imposed by politics.

@bimbbie You clearly know nothing about ME/CFS, which is what she has and what *I* also have. She is unable to do most things, she is homebound and mostly bedbound. But like all human beings sometimes we are forced into doing things that hurt our health in order to survive.

this is always one of the most baffling statements transphobes make. my estrogen + prog costs me a total of $15 monthly, but my anti-inflammation meds for my ulcerative colitis costs like $25 monthly. why is one worse than the other lol

@FTBCUTTERS @bimbbie You clearly know nothing about ME/CFS. I actually have it (diagnosed), and you can absolutely be fragile and disabled, and sometimes find yourself forced do a few things you absolutely have to do in order to survive. it doesn't mean she isn't disabled.

I still think about this post someone made directed at me because the idea that politics has only become vicious "all of a sudden" is so fucking funny and really shows how the author regards politics as a hobby and not a battle with serious stakes for millions of people

@EleanoraStats restrictions on hrt are ongoing and widespread, but i genuinely believe going ‘ofc they’re going to ban it for adults’ is more of a trigger for panic than it is an accurate estimation of what hrt restriction will look like in practice between now and 2029.

@AD1991234 it's not a marginal rate of 60% it's around 30%, you get taxed in stages not on a lump sum

@EleanoraStats But the marginal rate or 60%, but for student loads a further 9%, is pretty demotivating. I think it would be better to just start the 45% rate at 100k and not have the personal allowance taper.
