Here are 3 things I know, in order of importance: 1) There are a lot of people grieving and hurting over the evil acts of Vance Boelter. I am grieving myself, but I know there are many others in much deeper grief. 2) Vance Boelter is responsible for his crimes, and I am not aware of any meaningful evidence that anyone else is responsible for them. This includes Tim Walz, obviously. 3) Tim Walz has engaged in some very irresponsible and inflammatory rhetoric, especially in pursuit of national political office, which I have criticized him for. Perhaps he will follow his own advice and refrain from that in the future. If he does not, he will hear about it.

I think racism has become worse on the political edges of American society, which makes it more virulent and impactful to POC and women. People can come on @X and other platforms, remain anonymous, and find common ground with other racists, homophobes, anti-semites etc that just makes them more fervent As their accounts grow and they get the random engagement by @elonmusk they are rewarded by the algorithm with further reach which in turn creates the opportunity for more racism On here. That gives them more confidence to connect IRL and create and grow organizations dedicated to hate. Which in turn gives more power to the racists to use whatever influence they have at their companies, jobs, wherever they can. These organizations reward them for hate, so it continues to grow. That's my opinion on racism

When I ask patients about #stress levels, they often say “the normal amount” but there is nothing “normal” about our current world. We’re not meant to be living in these conditions or working at this intensity. Our nervous system wasn’t built for this *gestures at the news today*
