@RobCurrieMusic They tried to plead him out for third degree murder (10+ years), but the deal required federal sign-off and Bill Barr wouldn’t do so because, reportedly, he was worried about backlash from protesters for being too lenient: nytimes.com/2021/02/10/us/…
