Floating Sports Fan

@Jomboy_ I've never stood in a batter box for fast pitch anything. What's the hardest to call, a low pitch over the plate, or something moving horizontal near the edges ?

The Yankees have overturned 5 calls so far. We’re in the 4th inning. They’re all low pitches. Umpire Mike Estabrook is getting embarrassed and also getting yelled at by the Yankees to make an adjustment.

I have no ties to anyone important but I do have a question. Having the experience you do, and seeing how the inside of the league works, if you were to start a solo project in sports, where do you see the most growth potential ? Back in the big pro league with money, or helping smaller pro/college teams gain exposure and keep/grow their own programs?

An underrated factor in the baseball resurgence is it’s a sport well-suited to algorithmic short-form video content — lots of interesting random unique 15-60 second moments happen every day.

Pretty cool day to be a Michigan Wolverines fan. Basketball team can punch their ticket to the Final Four and the Hockey team could do so as well for the Frozen Four. Have we seen a school win both tournaments in the same year before?

@LearninBall @JLazzy23 My dad grew up in Buffalo. His uncle when he left the navy moved from Buffalo to Ann Arbor. I grew up visiting that uncle going to Michigan hockey games at Yost as a kid and have rooted for UM ever since. I was in Albany on Friday & am back today to see Michigan pagain. #GoBlue

NCAAM College hockey is down to the Elite Eight: who will be going to Vegas?

Holding myself accountable by learning more about the legends of the game. Al Davis had an almost 50 year run in the AFL/NFL which included everything from scouting to league commissioner. I HIGHLY recommend everyone learning a bit more about his history as well as the Raiders.

@DStarmanHockey I was asking people on a previous thread. Other than just simply "money" how do we prevent this ? Games aren't marketed, can't find anything on tv, yet sports are at all time high for viewers and profits in other leagues.

I'm beyond mortified what Mercyhurst did to those kids in the Men's D1 hockey program. Lets' hope this is not a trend starting at smaller schools. We need more men's and women's college hockey programs...#growthegame

A tale of two Pennsylvania hockey teams… Penn State receives $102M donation from Terry Pegula to build an arena and start a program. In 2025, they shell out nearly $1M to land Gavin McKenna. Later that season, Mercyhurst cuts its 39 y/o program out of the blue. Brutal.
