@nowhesobs @posting_forever it reminds me of asimov, especially the first foundation novel, where the writing is godawful terrible and the characters are shallow. some interesting ideas though. the prose does make it somewhat excruciating unfortunately.

trump said nothing tonight but i think he did admit he’d give up on the strait and let iran toll it. the rest of the world is not fighting for it. makes me think the ground invasion may not happen on a meaningful scale either. he just sounds kinda bored and annoyed about markets.

@StasiBoots The “pause” was to bridge the gap between Monday and when the reinforcements arrive (eg USS Tripoli & the 82nd Airborne). Now they can also try to frame Iranian rejection as proof they’re unreasonable. I bet they go in right after market close Friday.
