justine applied to browserbase by doing the job before she worked here.
instead of an application, she made a video about a feature we should build and sent it to us.
very excited to have her on the team. worth a follow if you want to see her growth playbook in action.

hi, i'm abhi!
just moved to sf for the summer, so figured i'd do a quick intro.
i'm a sophomore at columbia studying cs + economics. currently spending the summer forward deploying with a few startups while researching how operational intelligence compounds inside organizations through workflows, context, and decision-making.
few things abt me:
- grew up in texas
- have a 2000+ spanish streak on duolingo
- will happily talk about startups, fintech, AI, economics, or the nba for hours
- trying to explore as much of sf (and cali) as possible this summer
if you're building something interesting, tryna hoop, or just wanna grab coffee, reach out :)

From Day 1, Contrary's mission has been to identify and invest in the world's most exceptional people. It’s enabled us to be early backers of companies like Zepto, Ramp, Hallow, Anduril, and many others.
Our student Venture Partners are a key part of this process. They’re an exceptional team of builders who work closely with us to discover the next generation of founders at universities across the US and Canada.
Each year, we run a rigorous recruitment and selection process to identify a small number of VPs to join our community. This year was one of our most selective and competitive years yet: we received nearly 1500 applications, of which we ultimately accepted 20.
They are a diverse group of exceptional builders, founders, researchers, investors, writers, engineers, and everything in between, and we are thrilled today to welcome them to the Contrary family.
This year’s class includes:
• Current and former founders who have raised over $15M+ in venture capital
• Thiel fellows, competitive programmers, Wimbledon players, published researchers, and former investors
• Product builders with apps that have served 1M+ users
• Musicians (tabla and jori players, jazz singers, and violinists) who have performed at venues around the world
• Builders of spectrofluorometers, mushroom-picking robots, solar plants, and photonic chips
As we’ve gotten to know them over the past few weeks, we couldn’t be more excited to start working together. We’re thrilled to welcome the following new Venture Partners to the Contrary family!

your 20s are for processing nearly 1 billion events and 10s of TB of data every day.
so fun working on this with @baga_tur @maddygadams
Ankush Gola@ankush_gola11
LangSmith processes nearly 1 billion events and 10s of TB of data every day! In order to help users sift through all of the data they're sending us, we launched Insights Agent! This agent automatically processes your traces in the background and gives you insights into how users are interacting with your agent and failure modes for your agent. Try it out today! @baga_tur, @AnikaSomaia, @maddygadams cooked on this one 🔥

Over the past few months at @dedaluslabs, we’ve noticed how many talented founders from around the world are being held back by one thing: location.
There is no better place in the world to build an AI startup than San Francisco. SF is home to all the major AI labs, top talent, world-class investors, and it is where the future is being built every day. That’s why, this December, we’re giving builders everywhere a chance to break in.
We are taking over @theresidency and launching Break In—a month-long hacker house program in the heart of San Francisco.
If you’re not from SF, and you’re building an AI startup, this is your chance to join us. Build your startup on top of Dedalus’ Agents SDK or MCP deployment infrastructure and we’ll cover your stay (housing, lunch, and co-working space).
As a member of Break In, you’ll get access to all the best parts of SF. You’ll be introduced to top founders, mentors, and investors. You’ll get to skip the line at the biggest tech events. Plus, you’ll receive free API credits and expanded access to the best-in-class AI stack through our partner network of top AI infrastructure companies.
Applications open October 27th and close November 10th. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis. Final acceptances will go out November 14th to ensure international founders have enough time to secure visas.
Ready to break in? Follow us on Twitter/X for more updates and visit the link in the comments to apply on October 27th!
