Yes, it's true. In 1947, Kix cereal offered the Atomic Bomb Ring as a premium. It was a spinthariscope containing a small amount of polonium-210 to display scintillations from alpha particles. Marketed as safe, with the radiation posing minimal risk due to its nature and quantity.

🇺🇸 SPACEX IS NOW WORTH MORE THAN THE WHOLE COMPETITION COMBINED At $800B, SpaceX is officially worth more than the top 6 U.S. defense giants put together. And yes, even Lockheed, Boeing, and General Dynamics got smoked. Elon built the most valuable space and defense company in human history, and it's not even technically a defense contractor. The old school military-industrial complex? $709B combined. SpaceX alone? $800B and climbing. The Pentagon now needs Elon more than he needs them. Space X launches satellites, delivers cargo for the military, builds Starshield systems, and has the only rocket fleet trusted to get things into orbit fast. The future of war, tech, and space is being built by one company in Texas, not wearing a suit and tie. Source: @JarsyInc

Library Makerspace used to produce "fine art" pieces by one of our regular users. Exhibition consisted of work by the guy pictured, his Mum, Sister and Dad for engineering work. Access to the gear was crucial. The work was awesome! @Makerspaces_com @L2_S2S @lightshow @WiljDekkers

Two of my favorite makerspace tools! The first time I saw them, I thought “that’s silly, I have cardboard shears.” A colleague told me they are a wise investment. He was absolutely right. The time and hand cramps these have saved….
