The first gas discovery in Israel after a long time. Most importantly a discovery that can be commercialized very fast and not remain a “stranded gas field”. Energean now a Producer, Developer and successful Explorer in the Med

Glad to hear in the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Conference that Cyprus is progressing with the FSRU project. Greece, Israel and Egypt all maintain LNG as back up for security of supply, but have primary gas supply through pipelines #gas #cyprus #lng

Energean proved in Israel that a 2.4 TCF field can be developed in the deep waters of the East Med if the project is a priority for the operator. I hope that Glafkos doesn’t remain in the ground for a decade like Aphrodite and Cyprus gets access to natural gas soon.

@MathiosR @CharlesEllinas Do you mean you will build a subsea pipeline hundreds of miles long to carry only one BCM/year? Is it a serious proposal? Will it be profitable for you?

Israel , Greece and Egypt rely on low cost pipe gas produced locally or imported through long term contracts and use LNG as a back up. Cyprus will be the only country in the region to import LNG as the main source of energy supply!! #Cyprus #LNG #gas

Great to see infrastructure gas project connecting the East Med. It is important for all countries to get access to natural gas through pipelines. It is Cyprus's turn to get access to clean, cheap energy.

That is exactly what serious governments do. They secure multiple sources of locally produced clean energy supply and then take the steps to reduce electricity costs to the consumer. twitter.com/energean/statu…
