It seems like we are packaging the same bullshit in different wrapping papers.
A majority of the things we build in crypto add no real value to the world or to life.
We mostly fool ourselves into thinking that unnecessary utilities are useful.
Only a minority of builders are creating truly useful tools that can help us all.
All these new metas or hyped projects get replaced every week/every month.
98% of builders are not here to build, but to make as much money as possible.
98% of web3 users are not here to use web3, but to make money and gamble.
If people can create illogical narratives or products to fill their pockets, they’ll do it.
This is why I believe that having fun and making friends is important in web3.
I feel like that is one of the only genuine things about the crypto ecosystem.
The fun is real. The people are real. The love and experiences we share are real.

Approx. 6 months ago, I got drained ~$80K through a private key exploit. As my key was stolen, it also means I've missed on +$20K on top of that with $ME, $BONK and $JUP rewards💀. It sucks, but thankfully I re-invested $10K shortly after, which is now $25K!
There is so much opportunity in this space, it's absolutely ridiculous, with risk/reward ratio being better than traditional asset classes by miles IMO.
The amount of new tools, innovative technology, grifters, chads and scammers that make up the wild-west of the crypto ecosystem will continue to give opportunities for a long time yet.
Much appreciation for @CyberFrogsNFT, which through a mix of THOR and community is to be attributed for much of the profits. Today Frogs will be launching their merch line and this fellow will be buying TONS.
Trade smart, take profits, use a ledger/keystone, find your tribe and strap in for the ride!

This is the write-up about what happened and how I got drained for 90% of my crypto portfolio or ~40K USD by the @uniaptio scam. The TLDR is of course: trust nobody, but it is usually a little more nuanced than that and so it was, in my case. The circumstances: I've recently grown my account recently and I was actively looking for more formal roles in the space. By pure chance, I'm a participant in a post with @drimsisokay, who is approached by the scammer, in the very timeframe Drims answers and follows the scammer to respond to a DM. I open up towards the scammer this way. I look him up, he is mentioned on the project site, which checks out and he has a verified-profile. So I give it the benefit of the doubt. The mistake I have mixed feelings towards the scammer from the get go. There is indeed something slightly off, but only slightly. So I actually take some (obviously not enough) precautions. I use a dead, or so I thought, @MetaMask wallet to connect, on ETH, there has almost nothing in it. However, that wallet has an imported keypair to my @phantom main ETH wallet, which I forgot all about and actually, I had no idea the connection worked this way. Anyway, the scammer succeeded in actually getting access to my SOL wallet, which is where most things are. I also ran the UNIAPT software, but in a virtual container. My old compromised wallet: CtnAsQBirxGVrrFTd5jMFMRsdXmhkZ94mqJoM5P7hvkz The outlook I'm fortunate to not have invested more in crypto than I can afford to loose. All my losses were unrealized profits, a significant sum to me for sure, but not life-changing or life-threatening to be without. I have my @CyberFrogsNFT in locked staking until next year, so hopefully, I get to keep those. I also have a significant amount of staked $JUP still, which I hope to reach a solution for with the Jupiter-team. My main mission for this account will now be to RUN IT ALL THE FUCKING WAY BACK WITH THOR AND THE FROG FAM !FF🐸 And of course also help the authorities get the scammer, there is both a yellow-checkmark and a blue-checkmark, which means there is a papertrail. There is of course also all the transactions. I don't believe in fairytales, but I have seen some amazing things in the space. I'd be grateful for any support, a retweet goes a long way to spread the word. If you have "won" a cheap bid for one of my collectable NFTs, I would of course also be grateful to get to buy those back at no loss.
