Am trying to remember (and failing) the idiom that people use to mean that a party could put anyone in a particular seat/constituency etc to stand in an election and they'd win - eg where there are very old party loyalties etc. What's the idiom? Expression?

I went to the polling station around 4pm to cast my vote, thinking it might be a quiet spot in the day. It was really busy. The volunteers said it’s been steady and busy all day. Possibly one of the most enthusiastic turnouts of recent times. Very encouraging! #VoteLabour

@shhhyounohoo @lewis_goodall I was having cancer treatment when Andy won Wimbledon in 2013. I was ill and weak and boy did that win lift my spirits. It meant so much to a battered wreck.
