99% of people really do not understand abundance as Elon describes it. The fundamental reason is that they don’t understand compound growth. Same people who would probably pick 1 million dollars today over a penny that doubles in value every day for 30 days. It’s a bad choice by the way. You lose out on millions. Imagine if that doubling object was a labor producing robot instead of a penny. Compounding labor. It’s actually crazy if you try and wrap your mind around it. So Elon mentions Universl High Income and the midwits flip a lid. “The elites won’t share” You don’t get it. They won’t need to share. They will make everything so cheap, it is effectively free. Charities will have immense resources to distribute. Unfathomable intelligence will exist to help optimize production and distribution. An unfathomably large labor pool will exist that operates on solar power exclusively. The public work projects that are erected will be unseen before levels of breathtaking. I think we are incredibly blessed to steward this new age of abundance. Can you see it now? Can you see the future?

@tanpukunokami No wonder the population is in decline. You all need to do something about that. That’s not sustainable as a culture. Just change that thing - do the ‘work hours’, then go home. Cultural revolution required to survive as a culture.

This might be hard to believe, but in Japan, a salaryman wakes up at 6 AM. He commutes for an hour. Standing. In a train so packed he can't move his arms. He works 9 to 6. Then he stays until 10. Nobody leaves before the boss. Then he drinks with his boss until midnight. Saying no is a career decision. He catches the last train home. Falls asleep standing up. He gets home at 1 AM. He wakes up at 6 AM. The Japanese word for "death from overwork" is karoshi. It needed its own word.

@MbPerrin @tanpukunokami There is no property tax for owner occupied homes in Australia. There are council rates, but those pay for local things like roads and garbage collection. There are also no death taxes here. I think that you might have become confused by constant scare campaigns?

@tryourbest77 @tanpukunokami I’ve visited over 50 countries and lived in 3.. Australia is very hard to beat for living. Good weather, relaxed vibe, good free healthcare, beautiful places, not too many people. Our system and governments decisions suck. There is corruption in every country.

Pretty sure the RACV club in Healsville has some charging - also there’s a charger next to Aldi. Not tesla though. It’s only 70k’s from Melbourne though - you should easy get there and back on a local charge. I live in Warburton and realise now that a charger in Warburton is useless to me as I charge at home anyway. I’m better off voting for chargers half way to somewhere awesome that is pretty far away - like 150ks out plus - or more. I guess not everyone can charge at home though.

There are zero superchargers and almost zero third party party chargers in Melbourne’s beautiful and popular Dandenong ranges. I have suggested Healesville as a location numerous times but it never gets added to the map for voting. I wonder why this popular area has no charges. Probably an electricity/infra issue in the hills?
