The Israeli government has cut off food, water, and fuel to 2 million people inside Gaza. Collective punishment is not only contrary to international law, it is inhumane and illogical. How will this deescalate the violence rather than radicalize many more? It is madness.

in 1990 a Kuwaiti girl named Nayirah testified in Congress that she saw Iraqi troops throwing babies out of incubators. Amnesty corroborated her story, and this was used to get the public to support war. Afterwards it turned out the entire thing was a lie concocted by a PR firm

@scottieboy32 @JosieEthereal @LauraLoomer I am withholding my judgment for verification on that claim. If that happened, it would be a gross atrocity. But I know war propaganda often makes false claims to demonize the enemy. I remember a similar claim made during the Iraqi war that turned out to be false.
