One of the more interesting things about being a Dominant is watching the gap between fantasy and reality. Many people claim they want a powerful woman. A leader. Someone intelligent, accomplished, capable, and confident. Until those qualities begin to manifest in ways that affect them. The reality of a competent woman is that she has opinions. Standards. Expectations. Boundaries. Responsibilities. She has demands on her time and attention. She makes decisions based on priorities, not impulses. As a CPA, I spend my professional life evaluating risk, identifying inconsistencies, and paying attention to details others overlook. That doesn't disappear when I log off work. The fantasy is often a woman whose power exists solely for your benefit. The reality is a woman whose life, goals, and priorities exist independently of you. Power tends to look very different when it isn't performing for an audience.

One unexpected thing about recording morning reflection audios: You become very aware of which thoughts are worth saying out loud. A sentence can look beautiful on a page and still feel hollow when spoken. The microphone has a way of exposing that. It's made me think less about sounding clever and more about whether I have something worth saying in the first place.
