The little moments matter! A few months ago, I decided to begin doing check-ins with a student that was struggling. The other day we did this writing and he wrote his letter to me. This is why I love my job- getting to be there for my students and show them endless love & support

This week @CloughPikeElem kinders have been learning all about space, including the moon! Today in room 105, we worked in table groups to make our own moon phases out of Oreo cookies! Of course, we ate the “moon phases” afterwards!

We have a special guest reader in room 105 @CloughPikeElem! Officer Mike came in to read a book to the class and answer questions they had about his job! #WCconnects

We learned about the Chinese New Year and created these lanterns to go along with this holiday. It was a great kickoff to learning about other cultures and how people around the world celebrate! #WCconnects @WestCler

The first day of school in kindergarten @CloughPikeElem centered around feelings. We read First Day Jitters, shared/graphed our own feelings about the first day of school, and then drank “jitter juice” to get rid of the nerves. Look at all of those happy faces! @WestCler

Apple Crunch Day @CloughPikeElem 🍎🍏

After listening to “Pete the Cat Rocking in My School Shoes”, we went on our own adventure around the school to find Pete’s shoes and learn about important places in our building! We even decorated our own special “school shoe”. #LoveWC @CloughPikeElem @WestCler
