Today we delivered on H.E. ’s commitment to improve connectivity and unlock regional economies with the commissioning of the MV BKK Ferries. Linking Busoga, Teso & Lango, the ferries will cut travel time, enhance safety on Lake Kyoga & significantly boost trade and livelihoods.

📸Hoima City Stadium was commissioned by @KagutaMuseveni in December 2025. @GenWamala visited the stadium this year while on an inspection of transport infrastructure projects in the City. The supervision of the project was handled by the Department of Public Structures in the @MoWT_Uganda headed by Architect Simbwa Edward. @MoWT_Uganda is working closely with #NCHE to improve the road network around the stadium before AFCON.

The above action is also contrary to the SI No. 50 of 2025 which specified the procedures for use of biometric voter verification kits. These kits are supposed to scan the ballot papers before voting, verify the voters, scan cast ballot papers and scan signed declaration forms.

Today, I did not vote because the presiding officers were scanning ballot papers accorded to a voter. @UgandaEC I find this action to be inconsistent with the secrecy principle of voting as one can easily trace my ballot paper and so know my choice.

#FYI: African Development Bank Group approves additional €217 million to complete the Busega–Mpigi Expressway and Kagitumba–Kayonza–Rusumo Roads Project. “The additional resources will finance the construction of new interchanges, bridges, toll plazas, and service lanes, including the Busega Interchange linking the expressway to the Northern Bypass. These improvements will address chronic traffic congestion between Busega and Mpigi, a key bottleneck along the Northern Corridor connecting Kampala to Kigali.” 📎MORE👉🏿afdb.org/en/news-and-ev… 🖼️ Busega Interchange impression.

We should define school, hospital, market and church zones and clearly mark them. Road users should identify these zones for high compliance.
Allan Ssempebwa Kyobe, Chart. PR@assempebwa

#EPSAutoUg The MAXIMUM speed limit on a road running along a school, church, hospital, market or business centre with high human traffic concentration is 30Kph! 📌(a) If a driver exceeds the speed limit by 1 to 30 kph, i.e 31 – 60Kph they’re fined the equivalent of 10 currency points. 📌(b) Exceeding the speed limit by more than 30 Kph, i.e 61 Kph and beyond; the fine increases to 30 currency points. Now, in Uganda, 1 currency point = UGX 20,000, so •10 points = UGX 200,000 •30 points = UGX 600,000 In simple terms; The FASTER you speed, the HIGHER the fine! EPS Auto [camera enabled] will send a message to your phone! @MoWT_Uganda

Taking part in a Risk and Strategy training today, where I presented on some of the gaps we're facing in Uganda like poor risk foresight and weak institutional coordination. Eye-opening conversations all around.

Strengthening Regional Ties for Africa’s Growth At the directive of H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni, Uganda is spearheading efforts to boost connectivity with the Central African Republic and beyond — unlocking trade, development, and people movement across the region. With improved security in the region, the focus shifts to integration and infrastructure. 🚧A proposed 1,100km trade route—from Kampala through South Sudan to Obo in CAR—is on the table, requiring cooperation from the three nations. This Tripartite Meeting being held in Kampala brings together Uganda🇺🇬, South Sudan🇸🇸 & CAR🇨🇫 to: ➡️Finalize a viable transport corridor ➡️Establish a joint technical team for inspections & planning ➡️Explore financing options for short, medium, and long-term phases Discussions are also underway for direct air connectivity from Entebbe to Bangui via @UG_Airlines to bolster regional links. This is more than infrastructure—it’s a step toward lasting peace, shared prosperity, and the African Union’s vision for continental integration. #RegionalIntegration #TradeRoutes #InfrastructureDevelopment @UgandaCAA @SouthSudanGov @CentralAfri @UCAA_Spokesman

The boda bodas can’t even allow pedestrians to cross. I believe the combinations can be checked to ensure both capacity and safety of all road users.
Ahimbisibwe Dickens@dkahimbisibwe

@MwineMusa @KCCAUG After using this particular junction for sometime, I realized the left turn is not permitted due to a pedestrian green light on the other arm. Good for pedestrians but greatly reduces the junction capacity for motorized traffic.

Newly traffic lights don’t permit the left turn when through vehicles have green light. This greatly reduces capacity of the intersection. I highly request @KCCAUG to review the timings of the installed traffic lights.
