Many in Europe still see Iran as a distant problem. The reality is different: Iran’s ballistic missiles can already reach deep into Europe. Models like the Shahab-3, Ghadr, Khorramshahr, and Sejjil have ranges of up to 2,000 km, putting cities like Athens, Bucharest, Vienna, Berlin, and even Paris within striking distance. Some advanced models (BM25, Shahab-4/5) are reported to reach 3,500 km or more, covering nearly all of Europe. For years, Iranian officials have openly threatened Europe, stating they can extend missile range further if they feel threatened, and have named France, Germany, and the UK as being within reach. This is not just a Middle East issue. Anyone familiar with the dangers of radical Islam knows its ambitions are global. I wish talking about wouldn't count as extremism. Fascinating to observe the almost total silence from loudly pro-Palestinian celebrities & media figures re the courageous Iranian protestors risking their lives for freedom and democracy. Suggests their hatred of Israel overrides intellectual honesty and principle.

A reminder. The BBC worked with a production company for 9 months on the Gaza doc. 9 months of contact - checking sources -asking questions. They saw nothing wrong. They thought they had an award-winning production. So they published it. It took me just 3 or 4 hours to work out their star was the son of a Hamas minister. Which means nobody at the BBC even looked. Nobody. And so they were quickly forced to take down their Hamas propaganda. This is not just about figureheads. While it is good that Tim Davie and Deborah Turness have gone. The rot @bbcnews is not so easily cleansed. There are too many people there who actually believe it is okay to lie for their political (or religious) beliefs -and who think they are ethically, morally and intellectually superior to everyone else. You won't solve that by just replacing someone at the top.

וזה חשוב לזכור גם פנימה וזו הסיבה שאני כותבת גם בעברית. כבר ב-8 באוקטובר היו הפגנות בטיימס סקוור בניו יורק, בלונדון ובסידני. סידני אוסטרליה! 9 שעות קדימה מישראל. ב-8 באוקטובר. עוד לא הייתה שליטה מלאה על בארי, כפר עזה, עדיין היו בתים באופקים עם בני ערובה ובשדרות העיר טוהרה ממחבלי השטן רק ב-9 באוקטובר. ישראל רחוקה להיות ממושלמת, ואנחנו בהחלט נמצאים בידיים לא טובות, אבל זה שיש פה בינינו אנשים שלא מבינים שמהרגע הראשון ליהודי אין אופציה אחרת חוץ מלהתגלגל ולתת לאויב לטבוח בו, זו באמת אחת ההדחקות הכי גדולות בתולדות האנושות. כל מיעוט שהוא לא ערבי מוסלמי במרחב הזה נרדף: נוצרים, אחינו הדרוזים, יזידים, כורדים (כולם צריכים להיות בני בריתנו) ויהודים. היהודים הכי חזקים כדי להדוף את זה. זה הכל. ידינו צריכות להיות פרושות לשלום למי שמקבל את ישראל כמדינה ריבונית של הלאום היהודי במרחב. מי שלא - לא צריך למצמץ מול אויב כזה. תמיד לזכור: לא הכל בשליטתנו. עלינו להחליף הנהגה, לשקם את צה״ל וחלקים במערכת הביטחון, להשתפר ולעשות בדק בית. עלינו להיות ברורים לגבי האופן בו נפעל מול יהודה ושומרון שהיא כרגע לא פה ולא שם, אבל לא לשכוח לרגע שזה תמיד היה רק כי אנחנו קיימים. גם לפני 1967 זה היה כך, גם לפני 1948 וגם לפני 1882. שבת שלום 🤍

בימים האחרונים יצא לי לשבת עם רונן בר. מפגש לא קל. טעון. יש לי המון זעם על השב"כ, כמו שיש לי על הצבא. המון שאלות, המון קצוות לא פתורים. דברים שהיו צריכים להתחיל להיחקר מזמן בוועדת החקירה הממלכתית אם רק הייתה פה ממשלה שתקים אותה. אחד הדברים שדיברנו עליהם היה חשיבות השיקום של אמון הציבור במערכות המדינה. אין ולא יהיה לנו צבא אחר או שב"כ אחר. כדי שהוא ישוקם ראש השב"כ והרמטכ"ל צריכים להתחלף. אבל לא רק הם. לא יודע להעריך אם שרביט הוא מינוי טוב או לא. יודע שהוא נעשה תוך דריסת ראש השב"כ המכהן, תוך התעלמות מהוראות החוק, תוך זריעת כאוס והמשך ריסוק האמון בין האזרחים למדינה. יודע שברקע יש חקירה חמורה שנוגעת לקשר קטארי מטריד עם סביבתו הקרובה ביותר של ראש הממשלה. הייתי רוצה לדעת שהדבר הזה נחקר וימשיך להיחקר ברצינות וללא משוא פנים. ראש ממשלה שהיה אחראי לאסון הגדול ביותר בתולדות המדינה הוא הראשון שהיה צריך לקחת אחריות וללכת הביתה. הוא בטח לא ראוי לעצב ולהשפיע על העתיד שלנו. אין לממשלה כזאת מנדט מוסרי לעשות כלום חוץ מלהחזיר חטופים הביתה וללכת בעצמה הביתה.

The Turkish president says that Israel should be destroyed by Allah. I am wondering if this is an official @NATO policy or if they are going to kick Turkey out of the organization. I am also wondering how @POTUS feels about that question. Would love to hear from @WhiteHouse

Last week, @MarcoWerman and @TheWorld had an important story about Gazans who finally protested against Hamas. Reports say dozens of them have been arrested, tortured, and murdered by Hamas men in Gaza. I'm wondering if The World would have the courage for a follow up.

I met with Shiri Bibas’s sister Dana. She spoke about the tragic day that her family including her parents, her sister, and her nephews (Kfir and Ariel) were kidnapped and murdered. Dana held on to hope that she would see them again. Last week, she received the heartbreaking news that they were returning home from Gaza in coffins. May their memories be a blessing. 💔🕯️
