Procedure safety control improvement in all operations is a long history of preventing mistakes by taking control out of the hands of the human because this is often the answer. But those lessons and changes don't occur until the mistake happens first.

I suspected Musk might have intentionally performed what seemed to so many as a Nazi salute (twice) as some kind of “troll” act. At the time, I held back from being outraged and accusing someone of mocking the deaths of six million Jews, it is not something to take lightly. Now, however, I feel confident in stating this: at the very least, Musk seems to believe the Holocaust is fair game for jokes. Does he personally hold Nazi ideals? I can’t say—I’m not in his head. But I don’t blame anyone for thinking he does, given his apparent lack of concern about convincing people otherwise. Perhaps it’s all just a game to him—a ploy to spark outrage and stay at the center of the news cycle. It’s a tactic others have used before: turning Jews into the punchline of their campaigns. It's worked for far too many.

Not huge, but maybe matters at the margins? The difference between signing a key role player or not?

@OwenNewkirk @PuckPedia I don’t think it works quite that way. NHL players have to pay taxes where they “earn” their paycheck. Or so I’ve heard before. So because half the games are played out of the home market, the impact isn’t as big as people think.
