If you are a person who wants Lindor gone, what is your plan?
I have not ONCE seen a plan for replacing Lindor that is better than just keeping the perrenial 4-WAR player who is Hall of Fame bound.
So, whats the plan?

Want to clear up one misconception: #NHL27 Connected Franchise is not limited to one season. Your league does not end after Year 1. You can continue the same league, and roster moves like trades and free agent claims will carry forward. But for this year, aspects like player aging, retirement, season stats, do not carry over. We know those features matter, and the upcoming blog and Feedback Portal will give the community a place to share what they want prioritized next as we continue to build on the mode. I’m usually optimistic, but I don’t want the bar for this team to be that they can make the playoffs, and I’m not just talking about this year.
“Can” also means they can just as easily miss them, and I’m worried #NYR could be stuck in that cycle for years.
I agree with what @Peter_Baugh said on The Flying V with @vzmercogliano, I just don’t see a particularly high ceiling.
I don’t want this team to become the Minnesota Wild of the 2010’s, good enough to make the playoffs most years, maybe win a round, but never viewed as a legitimate contender.
That shouldn’t be the expectation.

I don’t think #NYR ownership sees it this way, but I think the seat is already hot.
They put this roster together, yet only 7 skaters are under contract beyond the ‘27-28 season.
A retool means making changes while still trying to stay competitive.
You don’t call it a retool, trade away 1st round picks, and then be okay with missing the playoffs if they’re trying to attract talented players to want to come to NYC.

@CorePython THREE DIFFERENT COACHES HAVE THOUGHT HE'S BEST SUITED AS A 3RD D PAIR!!!! He's played 368 gms + 43 playoff gms. At some point after that many games, the "give him a chance and be patient approach" that gets heard from some rangers fans will start to fall on deaf ears by others.
