We hosted a pickleball tournament with @SpotterCreators and won 🏆
The irony isn't lost on us that we won our own tournament, but still...if you think you can beat us reach out
PICKLEBALL PADDLE CONTROVERSY BREWING?? OP paddles have been topics before w/ #selkirk#crbn#proxr More due to grit etc., but DEFLECTION continues to be safety concern w/ several new paddle launches
Chris Olson shares latest thoughts/evidence w/ Gen3 #Joola👇🏻🫢

@tylerloong I agree with this. Only thing I wonder is where do we draw the line of a paddle being too fast? Can everyone agree on what the upper limit should be?
Other thing to consider is players like Jack Sock who are hitting absolute rockets with a 20mm. Can’t even imagine a Power Air.
While I think players should have liberty to use or not use eye protection, I’m surprised there’s not more discussion on the root cause of the issue…the power paddles create. Right now it’s the Wild West with power paddles have.
REPORT: Chris Olson of Pickleball Studio has called The Dink Awards, one of pickleball's most respected and storied institutions, into question after ranking 5th in the podcast category.
Not previously known to be an election denier (but frequently makes questionable line calls), Olson has resorted to malicious text messages to protest the outcome.
This story is developing.
🎙️We will discuss on next week's episode of PicklePod (the #1 rated pod, 4 spots ahead of Pickleball Studio)

Playing 4.5 with my lil bro in Vegas PPA this weekend.
Who wants to get some games in????
I believe we also have a bet with @ZaneNavratil to play 2 v 1 for $100...
Development update: The data is there, and it's accurate 👍 Next phase, we trigger logic and gameplay feedback. We're getting closer to this reality in all levels of #pickleball 😎 No special equipment required.
@statsrealclear@tylerloong Let’s hope. I want to dabble with ball reviews next year. Hopefully shift the landscape a little bit, but that’s likely very difficult with tournaments only using a specific ball.
The new Selkirk ball also plays very nicely.
@Pballstudio@tylerloong Yeah, I get that. Same challenge with rally scoring, which I’d personally prefer to play all the time.
But this shows the value of ball manufacturers sponsoring pro tours and achieving a “sticky” brand status among the lemmings.
Perhaps in the long run, quality will win? 🤷🏼♂️
There’s a lot of pickleball talk on balls recently. Many new companies out there with new balls, however I’ve never played with one that is “harder” than a Dura…is there one that I’m not aware of? All the other ones seem to be slightly softer to some degree than the Dura.
Lmk.
@statsrealclear@tylerloong It’s been almost 8 months since I tried it, but I enjoyed it at the time. The biggest hurdle was getting people to try the darn thing. People are too set in their ways with Franklin and Dura.
Which is funny to me since both of them suck.
@tylerloong Wilson 32 is a pretty hard ball. Probably the only one that might be stiffer than Dura. I believe I read an article last year that had data to back this up as well. Can’t seem to find it right now.
The ratio of pickleball content creators to pickleball players seems unusually high relative to other sports/hobbies
Is this because:
1) Pb attracts unique creative types
Or
2) Pb has a unique quality: people who play it become disproportionally passionate
Somethin' else?
Pickleball paddles are, obviously, critical to us pickleball players. So why aren't we talking about paddle swingweight? thedinkpickleball.com/paddle-swingwe…
Just finished watching the @ZaneNavratil/@MajorLeaguePB Columbus Documentary. Wow. Absolutely floored. Zane is without a doubt the most interesting man in the sport. Also, A+ production by the Pickleball Studio folks. Every fan of Pro Pickleball needs to watch it immediately.
