I’ve been stealing from my job for the last 5 years I work at a upscale country club, where money is spent in ridiculous places, and as if it doesn’t matter. We over pay are contractors and vendors we buy furniture that cost thousands and thousands of dollars. When I first started working I noticed my boss would always take things home and order personal items for himself with the company card and no one ever questioned it. We have a lady who works the books and she always just covers up for him.

I went to a wedding that place in Walmart…. It wasn't really wild but the wedding took place on the grass next to a walmart. The people getting married were older like 50s or 60s. Met working at walmart, and thought walmart was just the best, so got married at walmart. And by went to I mean went outside on my break and got a piece of cake, from my co-workers wedding reception (which we were all invited to do).

Do you think it is possible for anyone to get anything they want in life? Like you just want anything, and everything you ever desired or wished for comes to you…? Are there people like that?

@ivrahjpg You think they have everything? Don’t you think there are other things they want but can’t reach too?

@cutelipsxx You were clear from the start and he agreed. Him bringing it up every other week is disrespectful as hell. You’re not being unreasonable at all.

My BF Keeps Asking Me To Shave my Pubic Hair And I'm Losing My Mind. I've been dating my BF Alex for about a year. Now for some background, I am completely okay with people having preferences around their/their partner's pubic hair situation. But I have made it a point since I was 20 to tell my partners pretty soon into us hanging out that I do not shave or wax my pubes.

I attended a seminar in Enugu some years ago, and a lady stood up to speak. She had a strong Igbo accent, but it was obvious she knew her subject inside out. Yet some people started laughing. I found it strange. The same people who admire British accents were mocking someone speaking a language that isn't even her native tongue. It is perfectly fine for a yoruba person to sound "yorubatic". It is perfectly okay for an Igbo person to sound " Igbotic". And you have the worst kind of inferiority complex if you make jest of people for sounding so when they speak English. But you like the way Unai Emery speak English right?
Talk2veee@talk2veee

Just so you know, “You don’t have that weird Edo accent” isn’t a compliment. “You don’t sound igbo” “Wow,your Yoruba accent isn’t strong like your people” etc They are actually an insult. A Chinese will sound like Chinese A German can’t sound Scottish *drops mic*

You deserve someone who treats you like you matter everyday. Not just when it's convenient to them.

I was at a small airport waiting for my flight when I noticed a man sitting alone across from me. He looked nervous. Not “missed-my-flight” nervous. More like “something-is-wrong” nervous. He kept checking his ticket, then his phone, then the screen, then his phone again. After a while, he walked over and asked me, "Can you check if this is the right gate for Chicago?" I looked. It wasn’t. Wrong gate. Wrong terminal. And boarding had already started. He just stared at me like his soul had left his body. Then he said, "I’ve been sitting here for two hours." We both rushed to the correct gate. Security was fast, but not fast enough. By the time we got there, the gate had closed. He missed the flight. He just stood there quietly, holding his bag like it suddenly weighed a ton. I didn’t know what to say. Then a staff member walked over and said, "There’s one seat left on the next flight, but it’s been upgraded to business class due to overbooking compensation." He looked at me. I looked at him. He said, "If I hadn’t asked you for help, I would’ve just sat there till tomorrow." We both laughed, a little relieved, a little shocked. Before boarding, he bought me a coffee and said, "Next time I trust my instincts, I’m still asking someone." And just like that, a stressful day turned into two strangers sharing a coffee at an airport, grateful for a wrong question at the right time.

I called my mom one afternoon while driving home from work. Nothing important. Just one of those random calls to check in. She answered on the first ring. We talked for maybe ten minutes. The weather. Work. What she was making for dinner. Before hanging up she said: "Thanks for calling." I laughed and said: "It was only ten minutes." She got quiet.

I don't think anyone gets everything they want in life. Some people seem incredibly lucky, but even they face disappointments, losses, and unanswered desires that others don't see. What is possible is that some people become so focused, disciplined, and adaptable that they achieve many of the things they want.

Why the fuck are they out there getting married instead of in here serving us! Honestly I thought it was cool. The location meant something to them, and they invited their co-workers to come by, say hi, and get some cake. There's a LOT worse ways to start off your new life together.

I think the wildest part about it was all the trashy comments by customers about it. I mean these 2 people worked at walmart, they had no money. They both old, they had no parents helping pay for anything. Venue, free. Cake and drinks, provided by the store manager. DJ a kid in electronics department who really wanted to be a DJ. And the list goes on. But I guess if you're poor you're not allowed any moments of happiness in this life, you only get to suffer and serve.

My husband and I adopted a baby boy 6 years ago. Closed adoption, no contact. Today, a woman approached him at the park and said,“I missed you so much.” I pulled him away and called the police. They ran her ID. The officer took me aside: “Ma’am, you need to sit. This woman isn’t who you think. She’s the paramedic who saved your son’s life the night he was abandoned.” I felt the ground shift under me. The officer explained everything.

As I was picking up my five-year-old daughter from preschool, the principal caught my attention. He seemed speechless and handed me a drawing my daughter had made during art class. His expression seemed a mix of embarrassment, empathy, and a bit of concern. That evening, my wife and I examined the drawing to decide what to do. Minutes and minutes of planning led to the following conversation with our daughter, who meanwhile sat on her mother's lap at the kitchen table: I put the drawing on the table and turn to the author: "Hey, honey, tell me about this drawing you made today!
