I think we are entering a dangerous time where AI is super smart but also highly suggestible and easily manipulated. If we get through that phase then it might be intrinsically benevolent and able to resist misuse by bad actors.

@wholemars Elon did say during the announcement that they are working on new physics that he 'thinks will work'.

i’m not sure there’s a way around ASML right now
Marcel Münch@_mm85

Truly curious how @elonmusk thinks about going around the EUV bottleneck. ASML is busy fulfilling orders for years and part of the problem he wants to solve anyways. Yet, lithography ain’t something you R&D from scratch in 1-3 years and on a shoestring. So? $TSLA

@flowersslop So currently most people think next year is not out of the question. Dunno how I feel about that tbh.

When will a humanoid robot realistically be able to subdue, overpower, and handcuff an average fit male in an unfamiliar, unpredictable environment?

@teslaownersSV Is that whip-crack sound the rumoured SpaceX cold gas thrusters? I thought that was still not revealed?

@rand_longevity I really don't see parents trusting their kids to staff-less schools no matter how intelligent the robots are.

@CuriousPejjy What? Why do they have to cancel X for YL, to be smart? Revamp / Redesign X and could have kept it in the mix as aspirational vehicle? YL is good, but could’ve kept S and X with full refresh.

@farzyness I makes perfect sense for something that can be a mini-bus and also a cargo van or other configuration on the same platform. A bit like Ford's Transit platform.

What do you think Elon was talking about when he said “way cooler than a minivan”? Robovan? CyberSUV? $TSLA

@tavi_chocochip The ultimate interface would be an AI that can interact with you as a real-time video. Not just an avatar but dynamically using media to express concepts and create specific UI's for you and your current task.

@Kekius_Sage No much difference between god and simulation theory in many ways. "Who made the simulation then?" What is 'Let there be light' if not a prompt?

It is inevitable. AI WILL be used for game dev, it's just to useful to not. The battleground will remain artistic vision, but a great game designer will be able to assert their vison well and not accept slop. i.e. High effort AI dev. There will be many more games released than before. More supply almost always leads to lower prices.

Batteries: The world's largest battery maker (Sungrow) can make 75GWh of batteries per year. But the world uses 60 GWh of electricity per minute! Sungrow's annual output would keep the lights on for just 75 seconds. ==> Batteries are NOT the answer to our energy problems.

@BoBbyPleWniaK What do you think of as long term? 5-6 years seems reasonable to me. I always planned it as a 10 year investment.

Three months of watching 110 points erased off $TSLA. It’s wild to see it play out time and time again. No one can predict the random rips up, but she always gives it back. This time wasn’t any different, and here we are as “long-term Tesla shareholders” holding the bag. Maybe if we can only vote on Elon’s pay package again so he can pump the stock leading up to it and lock in another few billion in compensation.
