@BillAckman @elonmusk @DOGE This is bc congress, long in the pocket of pharma lobby, prohibited Medicare from negotiating drug prices. Biden broke up this racket, allowing Medicare to negotiate price for insulin & other essential meds, saving patients 1000s/mo. Trump should simply expand this to all drugs

@BillAckman That’s a false reading of the data you shared. 96% of borrower beneficiaries (16.42 million ppl) have a household income of <$83k. This group is well below the US mean HH income of $105k. 77% of the debt relief spending went to beneficiaries with HH of <$83k.

Student loan forgiveness sounds great for borrowers overburdened with high interest rate debts they cannot repay. The problem is that the subsidy appears to go principally to more affluent families at the cost of burdening those who didn’t attend college or whose parents saved to send their kids to school. It should be illegal for a president to buy votes by transferring funds from certain citizens to others he believes are more likely to support him in an election.

1/n Measles needs to be taken seriously. It is among the most contagious viruses we know of + unvaccinated child has a high risk of contracting it during an outbreak. In such case that child has 20% likelihood of hospitalization, and also risks deafness, pneumonia, encephalitis
