2 years ago we started this journey of re-planting into a gorgeous but run down church on an estate in Blackburn. The gift of not having a swanky space from the start is that we’re learning the joy of bringing it back to life not just for the community, but with the community.

Don’t turn to prayer only when a crisis hits you. God’s desire (amazingly) is to share your life. He’s not only to be called on like hitting the panic button. Let him continually refresh, inspire, motivate, fascinate, excite, enrich & enlarge you. He’s not only a problem solver.

Only half of the pastor’s work is to gather the people together for worship. The other half is to send them back to their daily tasks equipped to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. If we forget this second part, the other can be positively dangerous.
