The folders that were created to house these ordinances WERE LEFT EMPTY! That's right folx, the city has already failed to keep us informed of decisions they are making that will impact our lives.

"Once service facility buffer zones are made, the city is supposed to publish a map of them online and update them every six months." GUESS WHAT: The city was supposed to publish the ordinances in their entirety online, so that the public had access to the relevant terms.

"It also would ban groups and people from giving food, supplies and water to someone on city property in the buffer zones, unless they have a permit." GUESS WHAT: No one is getting a permit, because they DON'T EXIST!! heraldnet.com/news/mayor-giv…

Getting together gear for tonight's protest of the no-sit, no-lie, food/water/narcan sharing ban in Everett. If you want free radical zines, free food, free narcan training and free narcan, speakers, music, and great company come down, we're gonna be in front of the courthouse!

What this failed to explain is that part of this ordinance includes the distribution of goods and services in these areas. This includes food, water, and harm reduction supplies!? The pantry that we host is in one of these areas and is at risk! Please show up if you can 🖤

@18thNE By your logic, a child safety lock should be sufficient, but it's not. How do you explain that? We're more concerned with homeless people sleeping in dumpsters to stay warm, than children cramming themselves into operational refrigerators with food, in a high foot traffic area.

@PunksEverett Have some sense. The city is right here. If a child climbed in there they could not get out and die! It IS an attractive nuisance. You do wonderful work, but you are wrong in this instance.
