The frustrating thing to me about the quote from this article is that the columnist knows, and the Conservatives know, and Labour knows, that Brexit was an awful economic and geopolitical error. This was obvious in my view in 2016 and it’s ten times more obvious now, for the reasons outlined in the article. The issue is that none of the above have yet summoned up the courage to explain to the electorate that we really have no option but to rejoin the single market and customs union as soon as possible. Europe has to strengthen and work together in an increasingly uncertain world, and the U.K. is a vital part of Europe. Everyone in any sort of position of responsibility or power knows it. Basically our political class is bullshitting the electorate. And as I’ve said before, you can convince people to vote to abolish gravity but they will be very annoyed when they hit the ground.

Sadly this is not science fiction. Should we not be planning on a 100 year basis ? Five years really doesn’t cut it for a successful future

This is such an important point. Prevention is such an important investment. It helps the individual and helps us as a society.

Why is this having to be considered? Funding for local government is all over the place. There are statutory requirements that must be met by the ratepayers of Cheshire East. So the council are forced to consider options that are just plainly wrong.

Here’s another good deed for the day. This chap in his Skoda Enyaq was struggling to charge, 2 mins and all sorted. It’s almost always the charge port actuator folks. 99/100 it can be sorted within two mins with a flat head screwdriver and some lubricant 👍🏻

56 parking spaces, 56 chargers in place. Even those that don’t run EVs contributed to this as per parking space, the cost was £75. Future proofed 👌🏼
