Recently, the Fire District & @RanchoPD launched the Caught with Your Helmet On program, in which public safety personnel will hand out a reward when they see youth in the community wearing their helmets!

🖤 It is with profound sadness that we announce the line of duty death of Fire Apparatus Engineer Daniel “Danny” Cook.
Engineer Cook passed away earlier today while engaged in firefighting operations. His service, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

San Bernardino County Fire request additional resources from the California Office of Emergency Services in preparation for the upcoming storm system.
This Type Three Prepositioned Strike Team is available to be dispatched anywhere in the county and will be available all weekend. The team is made up of personnel from the Redlands FD, Ontario FD, Apple Valley FPD, Victorville FD, Rancho Cucamonga FPD and the San Manuel FD. In addition a County Fire hand crew, battalion chief, and dispatcher were added as well.

In Loving Memory of Deputy Andrew Nunez
With heavy hearts and profound grief, we honor the memory of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Nunez, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on October 27, 2025.
Deputy Nunez served with unwavering commitment, courage, and deep compassion for the community he vowed to protect. His bravery and sacrifice reflect a life dedicated to safeguarding others, even at the greatest cost. Such devotion will remain forever etched in our hearts.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fellow deputies as they face this unimaginable loss. May they be surrounded by comfort, lifted by the love of their community, and strengthened by the legacy of honor he leaves behind.
Rest in eternal peace, Deputy Nunez. Your watch has concluded, yet your spirit, service, and sacrifice will live on in every life you touched.
