This is how you do it. You don’t let your contracts and media rights owner hold you back if you want to be THE brand… Now Duke Basketball will be showcased “globally” and be compensated for it. All they had to do was agree to play in additional ESPN owned events.

The media rights owner for Duke/ACC is ESPN. They have found a way to partner with Amazon’s Prime Video, allowing them to take over their media rights for 3 games. (Huge for Duke) Duke will return the favor to ESPN by playing in additional ESPN owned neutral site games.

Just one year ago he was 173lb, he has gained roughly 20lbs of muscle. Although basketball is the only sport that requires expedited maturity, don’t allow anyone to rush YOUR process. Timing is everything. He will carry 200lbs easy during his career.

Interesting I wonder if now Maxime Meyer will de-commit from Duke? They can't really play all of these bigs (Meyer, Boumtje Boumtje and Ngonga) Duke has too many guys..not enough playing time for them all Even in the backcourt - how will their be enough mins, ball handling reps & shot attempts for Rippey, Foster, Blackwell & Boozer? How can all of these guys play (who I just listed) plus Dame Sarr, Bryson Howard, Cameron Williams and Sebastian Wilkins? There already wasn't enough mins last season for Wilkins - idk why he didn't transfer out

@Aaron_Torres Duke is so far ahead of everyone in NIL it’s embarrassing. As a Kentucky fan this makes me sick. I hope mark gets it figured out, but Duke has 12 five stars and my coach is in Israel trying to sign a 23 year old.

Two years ago, we hosted an 8U B tournament at the fields for the league my son plays in. The Sunday (when they do bracket play) was Father’s Day. One dad started drinking at his son’s 8am game, passed out in the parking lot and pissed himself at 12:30, woke up that afternoon and proceeded to start an altercation with a mom on the other team in the championship game because she was filming her kid hit on “our side of the field”.

Friend of mine coaching 12U tourney this weekend… Opposing parents pregaming in the lot, pouring drinks into cups, bringing it into the game. Drinking at 12U baseball now? Chirping umps & the opposing coach. Tournament did nothing. That’s where we’re at? See a problem?
