Protestants read Revelation as a mysterious prophecy about the future. Catholics read it and see Sunday Mass. Not vaguely. Not loosely. Point by point. Revelation 1:10. John worships "on the Lord's Day." Sunday. The same day Christians have gathered for the Eucharist since the Apostles. Revelation 4:8. Heavenly beings cry "Holy, holy, holy." Catholics sing the Sanctus at every Mass. Word for word. Revelation 5:6. A Lamb "standing as though slain." Not a memory of sacrifice. A living, present sacrifice. The Mass presents Christ's once-for-all offering as eternally present before the Father. Revelation 5:8. Golden bowls of incense representing the prayers of the saints. Catholic liturgy uses incense for this exact reason. Revelation 19:9. "Blessed are those invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." The priest says these exact words before Communion at every Mass. Revelation 8:3-4. An angel at a golden altar offers incense with the prayers of the saints. Altars, priesthood, offering, intercession. All present. All liturgical. Scott Hahn, a former Presbyterian minister, put it bluntly after his conversion: "I went to my first Mass and I didn't just find Revelation explained. I found Revelation happening." John didn't write a code about future helicopters and microchips. He described heavenly worship. And that worship looks exactly like the Catholic Mass because the Mass was designed to mirror heaven. If your church service has no altar, no sacrifice, no incense, no Sanctus, and no Lamb's Supper, which liturgy is actually biblical? Follow for daily apologetics rooted in Scripture and the Fathers.

We come to Mass not to dance, clap, focus on the priest, etc. Jesus is the reason why we come to Mass. Jesus is why we are Catholic. Not the priest and definitely not the Pope. We are Catholics because of Jesus.

I have meet at least 50 former Catholics in the non-denom church I’ve been a part of. 100% of them were not catechized even halfway. Examples include not knowing the Catholic Bible had more books, why we pray to saints, or even that the Catholics claim to be the one true church.

I never understood the purpose of this doctrine. Obviously Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, but why must she remain perpetually so? Especially when the Bible talks about Jesus’s brothers. She was married to Joseph and sex within marriage is good, not sinful.
