@hoebeeck @gearhartpkmn @CentroLeaks Attack for pokemon who are normally special attackers and want to minimize the damage they take from a confusion self hit since that's always calculated off the attack stat. There's also pretty niche ultra beast stuff where you lower the stat you don't want beast boosted

@RealPorkbeans @gearhartpkmn @CentroLeaks I thought that was the case with some 0 IVs being optimal. I’m no expert on the math but doesn’t this mean some Pokémon will take a OHKO now with certain moves using opponents Pokemon attack stat? One less thing to train now so can see the logic behind it

It's now been discovered that Pokémon Champions does in fact use a different formula for the stats, and doesn't have neither EVs nor IVs, instead uses the new SP value. It's a lot simpler to the one used in the main games. HP = BaseHP + StatPoints + 75 Other Stats = Nature * (BaseStat * StatPoints + 20) Nature is 0.9, 1.0 or 1.0 depending on the nature.

@hoebeeck @gearhartpkmn @CentroLeaks The main advantage to 0 IVs is 0 speed and 0 attack. Speed for pokemon that want to be the slowest so they move first in trick room or so their weather triggers second at switch in, overriding an opposing weather setter that switches in on the same turn. 1/2

@gearhartpkmn @CentroLeaks Does this mean Pokemon cant have zero speed/sp. Atk ? I thought it was optimal for some Pokemon to have zero IVs in some stats
