No it didn't. Its literally beat for beat the exact same story, except she lives. And what does that amount to? Literally nothing. They still write her out of the story. Its not more emotional, its not better utilized. She's written out of the story regardless if she lived or died. Its a pointless change because her living doesn't impact the story in any direction.

Way better than "kill everyone but rex then kill rex just a bit later also Kate was always just an extra Clone Clone shes fucking Abraham Lincoln now" quitting>death

@tavrium_ The character died during their encounter with the lizard league. For some reason the show was too affraid to kill her off, and instead just made it so that she quits and never shows up again.
