@Libriomancy101 @ReelRhoades @Critical_Scribe I'm willing to bet the Mario Trilogy +1 is gonna wind up being a story about the princesses. They're just stretching it out. If I'm right the 3rd movie will explain what was after Peach, Rosalina and the others. (Master hand?) And the 4th is Smash.

@NoponDigi No official statement from Nintendo regarding it’s canon status but then again Star Fox Canon is pretty much not talked about. Personally the way I see it; Command is non-canon and is more of a What If than a legit part of the mythos.

Ain't this game no longer canon? Also..this was the last Star Fox game I played. (Well besides 64 recently via switch 2)
J F@RyukiRider98

@NoponDigi Wanna know something I just realized?….. Command is technically the grand finale to the series so long as you pick the only good ending option…. This is how the series ends journey ends from Star Fox (SNES, 64, 3D, and Zero) Star Fox 2, Adventures, and Assault

@Alesiopdv @Exalted_Speed It’s because people are insistent on Silver Age being this all perfect and no flaws era of DC and that the Post Crisis age was so bad that it ruined these characters forever; all while consistently proving they know nothing about either era.

@NoponDigi Essentially it is him getting such a big head and ego with his scientific work that he becomes something that can only be considered an abberation of nature and science itself. All of Andross’ inventions themselves reflect this aspect when you look at it.

These new writers have dissed and diminished Hartnell so much and yet here is on top of his game, powerful, strong, complex, fun, serious, warm, in charge. The first Doctor has been turned into a sexist old man. That’s not preservation but propaganda.

Like, for an example that generally holds true, compare Missed by a Dollar (the last cel animated Lupin special) compared to the Alcatraz Connection (first digipaint special). They share the same director, but the later just haas more complex direction and more fluid animation.

I think it's telling that a lot of the last cel animated works at the time of the switchover were prestige projects (like the 2003 Astro Boy). Like, everyone recognized that cel animation looked better, especially in the early days of digipaint.
Jacky the Frost 🇹🇹 🇧🇷 🇺🇸@king_of_games34

>Looks so modern No. Cel-based animation just genuinely looked better. It allowed for color gradients just not possible with digital animation. Digital animation just took over because its generally easier than having to draw every individual frame like you had to with Cels.

@Libriomancy101 @Critical_Scribe Considering that the romance was a bit downplayed in the last movie, I would say yes he did not. Rosalina’s backstory I don’t think was changed that much. I mean, she always did have an unspoken Peach connection based on Miyamoto’s interview and the design of Rosalina’s Mom.

@ReelRhoades @Critical_Scribe He didn’t prove himself in the last movie? Well regardless it’s a Mario movie… I’d prefer to see more of Mario and Luigi being the ones to have more action and etc. They didn’t need to change Rosalina’s backstory either just for Peach’s expansion.

@MadKamikazius Yeah but they all suck and are arbitrarily limited, to get one that would fulfill most of my needs would require paying upwards of 80 dollars. Which I might as well get a Blu-Ray/DVD player at that point.

@ShadedPyre @IronlilyS And ideology is the set beliefs in question to which said dogmatism is applied to. So yes they are indeed largely inextricable.

@ReelRhoades @IronlilyS No. Ideology is not the result of dogmatism, it never was. You are putting the carriage before the horse. Dogmatism is the unwarranted assertion that one’s ideas, values, and principles are absolutely true.

People who are deeply rooted in ideology... whether it's religion, politics, race, gender, or anything else... are unfortunately, almost impossible to pull out of it. They cannot bring themselves to question the beliefs they have supported for years. Questioning it would mean denying years of belief, effort, or relationships. If you ever meet someone who can step back and think openly—cherish them.
