A 25-year-old woman named Zanele Mkhwanazi has been arrested in connection with the alleged murders of her two young daughters in the Newcastle/Madadeni area. The children were reportedly a 5-year-old girl and a 9-month-old baby girl. According to the report: The mother allegedly used a knife to slit their throats at their home. She then called the children’s father (who was in Durban) and told him she had killed them. The father contacted a family member/relative, who went to the house and found the children dead in a pool of blood with their throats cut. The mother was initially missing. Police later located her at a relative’s place in Madadeni. She had injuries on her neck from an apparent suicide attempt and was arrested. Two blood-stained knives were reportedly found under a bed at the scene. The incident appears to have happened on 11 April 2026.

PKTT Takes Over Probe into 'Hit' on Emfuleni Municipal Official The Gauteng Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) has launched an investigation into the assassination-style killing of Martha Mani Rantsofu, a 39-year-old acting accountant in the Finance Department of Emfuleni Local Municipality. Rantsofu was gunned down on 30 March 2026 while waiting for her car to be serviced at a tyre fitment centre on Frikkie Meyer Boulevard, metres from the Vanderbijlpark Police Station. She was shot five times in broad daylight. CCTV footage of the attack, which quickly went viral, shows the moment she was struck and collapsed near a doorway. Speculation has linked the killing to possible whistle-blowing on tender irregularities within the municipality’s fleet department, though police have not confirmed a motive. The Aubrey Tau Foundation has offered a R100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is urged to contact the task team or the nearest police station.

@tumisole 😭😭😭 .. until when our young people die like this? While in the mist of commission we believe they are sworn to protect the country against such killings. The municipality manager is the 1st person to be taken for a vigorous questioning 😤

AUBREY TAU FOUNDATION CONDEMNS THE BRUTAL AND SENSLESS MURDER OF EMFULENI MUNICIPALITY FINANCE OFFICER, MARTHA MANI AND OFFERS R100 000 REWARD FOR SUCCESSFUL ARRESTS AND PROSECUTION The Aubrey Tau Foundation condemns the brutal and senseless killing of Emfuleni Municipality Finance Officer, Ms. Martha Mani on 30 March 2026. Ms. Martha Mani, a young courageous and fearless young woman who was going to turn forty (40) in September this year. Like many social media users, particularly on Twitter, now X, we saw how a. criminal snugged behind the unsuspecting Martha and pumped five (5) bullets. The brutality has not only sent shockwaves across but has instilled fear amongst finance and patriotic employees in municipalities across the country. Aubrey Tau, the Foundation’s Founder opined on the brutal killing of Ms Mani and said: “Whilst the circumstances surrounding Ms. Mani’s brutal murder are still being investigated by law enforcement authorities, and that it may allegedly be linked to possible tender irregularities and awarding in the Emfuleni Municipality, we are reminded of many other whistleblowers and courage South Africans who were also killed in their line of work for standing for the truth and South Africa: Babita Deokaran, Mpho Mafole, Marius van Der Merwe, Bouwer van Niekerk, Simnikiwe Mapani, Sarel May, Luzoko Ntlabezo, Andries Mqoqi, Cloete Murray, Thomas Murray, Tracy Brown, Sindiso Magaqa, Frans Mathipa, Armand Swart, Loyiso Nkohla, Ayob Mungalee, Charl Kinnear, David Khanda, Zanele Nkosi and many others whose murders are stark reminders that law enforcement ought to do much more to protect whistleblowers.” The Aubrey Tau Foundation welcomes the recently introduced Protection of Whistleblowers Bill which was championed by Action SA and recently announced by the Minister of Justice, which aims and not only incentivizing whistleblowers but ensuring that law enforcement acts with alacrity in protecting whistleblowers. The Aubrey Tau Foundation offers a R100 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Rand) reward to any South African who may have credible, relevant and concrete information that may assist law enforcement to bring the murderers of Ms. Martha Mani to book. Information can be sent to 010 001 1060. The Aubrey Tau Foundation extends its heartfelt condolences to the Mani Family, colleagues and friends. Ends.

Imagine a woman coming into our lab to do a pregnancy test today, and her result came out positive. Then she proceeded to do a pregnancy scan. When the sonographer checked, she was few weeks gone. Do you know the next thing that came out of her mouth? She said she wanted the result to be backdated. That is, if she was eight weeks gone, the result should be written as four or five weeks. The sonographer was like, no, she can never do that. This woman started begging. The sonographer asked her, “Why should I backdate your result?” And she said the pregnancy does not belong to her husband. So the sonographer should help her backdate the result so that when she calculates it, it will fall on her husband. The sonographer said she can never, ever do such a thing. She refused. This lady then started begging and even thr£aten!ng that she would t@ke her l!f£ if she didn't do it. She had to call our attention so we could be witnesses to what was going on. So the sonographer gave her the correct result and told her, “Madam, whatever is written on this result is exactly what is recorded in my system for evidence tomorrow. In case you say I altered your result, I can easily show proof that it is the same thing I gave to you.” The lady left the lab a&gr!ly. Do you know what sh0cked me the most? The next day, she came back and told us that what we could not do for her, another lab did it for her. So like this now, her innocent husband will father a child that is not his. Imagine having the heart to give your pregnancy to another man. When that child grows up and finds out that that man is not his father, what will you say to him...? ----some wom£n eeh!"Imagine a woman coming into our lab to do a pregnancy test, and her result came out positive.
