No one should be forced to pay union dues or fees just to get or keep a job.

“They’re constantly being sued because they have these p—phile teachers, and they can’t get rid of them because… the teachers union is so powerful that they literally can’t fire horrible teachers..." Anyone else think government union bosses shouldn't have this much power? 🙋‍♂️
The Vigilant Fox 🦊@VigilantFox

Only in California. LAUSD is quietly borrowing ANOTHER $250 million to settle m*lestation claims against teachers. That’s on top of $500 million issued less than a year ago—pushing the total past $1 billion in claims. The district admits it is settling cases it is “not able to successfully defend.” And the local taxpayers are the ones who have to foot the bill. Here’s the worst part: According to Adam Carolla, the teachers’ union is so powerful that the board can’t even fire the offenders. So taxpayers are left stuck with teachers accused of m*lesting children. And if another lawsuit is filed against them, they have to pay for it. “They’re constantly being sued because they have these p—phile teachers, and they can’t get rid of them because… the teachers union is so powerful that they literally can’t fire horrible teachers and ones that get caught in p—philia. “So they take them, and they shift them to the shitty neighborhoods where the people don’t complain, like, speak Spanish mostly… They literally take the shit teachers, and they ship them off to where the poor people are.”

The Cost of Collective Bargaining Collective bargaining in the public sector means more concentrated power and higher costs. When local spending goes up, your property taxes go up. Taxpayers always pay. @Right2Work Do you want higher taxes? 👇

On this day in 2018, @RightToWork staff attorneys argued in Janus v. AFSME before the U.S Supreme Court that public employees cannot be compelled to pay money to a union as a condition of working in public service.

Top @AFLCIO boss opposes IDs and proof of eligibility to vote in political elections, but not union elections. AFL-CIO affiliate vote right now: "Only Members in Good Standing are permitted. ID's will be checked." "must be present at the meeting to vote"

The SAVE Act would make it harder for eligible Americans to cast a ballot — period. We should be strengthening our democracy, not restricting it.

"little attention has been paid so far to one of the most expensive pieces of proposed legislation currently percolating in Richmond: a likely repeal of Virginia's longtime ban on collective bargaining for government employees"

I'm sorry, I can't take Abigail Spanberger seriously on affordability when her "affordability agenda" will notably make life for Virginians...much less affordable reason.com/2026/02/21/vir…

Anti-Right to Work Republican Brian Fitzpatrick has won Big Labor applause by pushing for reinstatement of federal government union bosses’ monopoly-bargaining privileges. But his taxpaying Pennsylvania constituents have no reason to be pleased. NRTWC NL: nrtwc.org/house-votes-to…

As their push to repeal Virginia's Right to Work law flounders, union bosses have resorted to brazen lying. Right to Work has no effect on workers' right to collectively bargain, it simply prevents union bosses from *forcing* workers to pay union dues and fees.

Few people supported unions more than Jesse Jackson, but he knew that teachers' unions were different. Rather than striking against the wealthy, he wrote in a 1977 newspaper column, "when teachers go out, they strike parents, taxpayers and children's minds."
