Yes. And that tells you something. The teacher who types out the full lesson plan with notes before s/he leaves is the same teacher who covers without complaining when someone else does not. S/he carries more than her/his share because that is who s/he is. The building runs on her/him. And nobody tracks that either.

Nobody talks about the teacher who found out at lunch that her prep was not her prep anymore. She was given just ten minutes' notice and no lesson plan. There was nobody else, so she went. That is what you do when there is nobody else. There should always be somebody else.
