@TerryMoran Pretty sure Bondi has her own baggage and Trump has the goods on it. He will bury her in legal bills and misery if she squawks. I hope she does. She is miserable.

Is Pam Bondi going to go quietly? It’s not her nature. And she knows things about Trump—not just Epstein, but the investigative leads that were uncovered by Jack Smith in the classified docs case—that could make real trouble for the president who fired her.

@RotoGut That ball hit the 3rd base bag. Not Chapman's fault. Chapman is a lot better at 3rd than Bichette that's for sure so glass houses you know.

@ppcClickShark @martinonyc Well to be fair he hit 27Hr in 111 games 2 years ago so the potential is there obviously. You are not going to get that from Polanco or Bichette no matter how much you pay them.

@martinonyc What do professionals hired to analyze and or help Mark Vientos with his defense know about hitting 25-30 home runs?

Literally everyone who has worked with or spent time watching Mark Vientos working on his defense thinks he can be a big league 1b, and that he can hit 25-30 home runs per year

@martinonyc Vientos looked good at the plate last night and made a nice diving stop at 1b. Might be a good idea to give him some reps at first. I'd sit Semien and put Baty at 2nd and see if either of these two can establish themselves finally. Let Polanco dH.

@NYNJHarper He is now the most expensive middle reliever/mop up man in MLB history. With the stuff he has now that's what he's capable of (if he stays healthy which is questionable). More likely he needs surgery in the off season to clean things up and then 35?

Manaea saved the Mets' pen in 7-2 loss in SF after Peterson's ugly start but doesn't seem to be making any progress re velocity: 89-91 mph in 74-pitch stint. Gave up 4 hits, including Devers HR, and 2 walks, finessed his way out of trouble. At age 34 this may be who he is now.

@MetsMuse For me they are performing as I expected based on what they did last year and the moves Stearns made. The good news is that most of these are short term contracts that will be gone in a year or two. Bad news is that Lindor career peak will be passing before that happens.

A week into the season, the Mets are 3-4. They’ve played the Pirates, Cardinals, and Giants. How do you feel about this team right now?

@SNYtv I don't think Mendoza should take the blame for bad team construction by Stearns. It's hard to tell if he is a good or bad manager when he doesn't have the players he needs to win. He's made questionable moves yes but looking at these players performances? Can't win with that.

Carlos Mendoza says he thought the Mets had some "really good at-bats" off Robbie Ray "We just couldn't put a lot together there"

@SNYtv Listening to Mendoza and Lindor explain away bad losses is getting very old. For the last 3 months of last year this is what we heard in stages. "We just have to put it together" becomes" we just have to play better" and then "you have to hand it to the other team".

@EddiePresti_ Just to be clear, Stearns threw the baby out with the bathwater and I said so when he made these moves. Robert/Semien both sucked last year. Polanco and Bichette both sucked the year before. He bet the house on these guys and it's not a given that they will produce.

Mets fans… relax. It’s been 7 games. Brand new lineup, new chemistry, guys still settling in — this isn’t plug-and-play. Yeah, the bats are cold right now… but this is a TALENTED group and it will come around. Stay healthy → this team is going to be just fine. Patience. 🔵🟠

@IdiotsXSports @sportzdad6421 @Mets_Fan4_Life @GoodFundies I'm not sure why Mets didn't make a play for one of the 2 Japanese first baseman who were available relatively cheap and are both doing very well early on. Both have power and can play the position. Not sure why they had such a boner for Tucker and pivoted so fast to Bo.

@just_mets If Peterson pitched against the Mets lineup he'd be throwing a gem. Probably got a false sense of security in those intrasquad ST games where he was "unhittable".

@maverick92324 @MetsGiveMeAgita This is not a slow start. This is an aging player who should consider retirement. Stearns proved his incapable by trading for this overcooked piece of meat.

Luis Arraez , in today’s society because he doesn’t hit the ball 450 feet ,so many sleep on him and laugh smh. The man is a pure hitter. I’d take him on my team any day of the week , and twice on Sunday.

@SGSafran @Roger774501171 Well, he is not very disciplined. And he is contacts are not very high-quality I see that the consensus of "pure hitters" excludes sluggers, even if they are complete hitters wirh discipline, which is stup1d
