I never expected my thread about the rise in antisemitism in Montreal to go viral and reach so many people. I’m grateful that my message resonated so widely. Since many of you are new here, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself: Since October 7, I’ve been acting as VP and co-founder of the Association des Médecins Juifs du Québec, a group for Jewish physicians in Quebec. We’ve built a supportive community, advocated tirelessly for our medical trainees, and taken a stand against antisemitism in healthcare (amjq.org). I’m a cardiologist and ICU doctor, born and raised in Montreal. My first language is French, but I’m also fluent in English and Hebrew. I’m a proud husband, father, Sephardic, Zionist, Canadian, Quebecker Jew. Before 10/7, I mostly posted about medicine and averaged 0–2 likes per tweet. So I think the message is clear that I will pivot Twitter strategies. My ultimate goal? To put an end to antisemitism—and then maybe, just maybe, find time for new hobbies 😂
