No chance of #EME DX you say ? Wrong 🙂4W8X worked today for new #2m DXCC. Full credit goes to Seb DG5CST, 4W8X operator, for very efficient utilization of the Ground Gain phenomenon on Moonset. Just 2x11el Yagi at his end produced quite good sigs given the circumstances. Kudos!

Pure luck at this end... hrd and called another HC but no cigar. HC2FG was audible for 20 minutea or so with sigs up to -4db here. With #Six openings like today you will catch HC in no time, I am sure! 🙂

I must be cursed in HC, 15 yrs hunting for them, hrd 3 times within last 2 yrs and still no QSO.. #SIX is brutal !

@N5BO_Justin Interestingly at that time I was receiving HC and HK, as well as VU2, 3B9, V5 & ZS6 while beaming direct Ecuador (278 degrees). Worked into VK6 Western Australia and heard DU approx 3-4 hours earlier. To be honest awaiting substantial US openings to complete my WAS award on #Six

Yes - it aint't no joker, HC2FG called in out of the blue and perfect QSO, fair and square, while beaming an opposite direction. QRB almost 11000km & new DXCC on #50MHz Biggest surprise to date on #Six Conclusion - sometimes it pays back to give out a few CQs on the magic band😀
