Not every player’s journey ends with a “One Shining Moment” on CBS and that’s the reality. About 98% of college basketball players only have four years left to play once they get to college. Only a very small percentage will go on to play professionally. That means your college decision cannot be based only on the name, the logo, or the dream scenario. If you’re a high school player, you need to choose a place where you can realistically get on the floor, develop, and make the most of your four years. Opportunity matters. Fit matters. Playing time matters. Focus on the right fit, not just the biggest name. Go where you can grow. Go where you can play. Go where your career can truly begin. Because when those four years are over, for most players, it’s back to the local gym.
