Introducing ElectionRAMP: Building a Resilient, Secure, and Trustworthy Election Infrastructure I was writing something up for the mahanow.org website, but they closed down nominees. You can find the submission at cdgroup.org/ElectionRAMP.h… Perhaps if @VivekGRamaswamy @RobertKennedyJr @elonmusk see this we can make this a thing. I would love the honor to make sure it is done right, but it is more important it gets done at all. I am happy to give the full details to anyone that can help make it a reality. Anyway without further ado. What is ElectionRAMP: In the United States, election security is currently a patchwork of disparate standards, guidelines, and practices that vary from state to state. While federal guidance exists, there is no consistent, mandatory framework ensuring that each state’s election technology, procedures, and infrastructure are uniformly secure and transparent. This lack of standardization has created vulnerabilities that could undermine public trust in the democratic process. The Problem: Inconsistent Security Practices Across States Each state currently approaches election security differently, with some adopting federal guidelines and others setting their own standards. Federal programs like the Election Assistance Commission’s (EAC) Voluntary Voting System Guidelines (VVSG) and CISA’s recommendations have made significant progress, but they are not mandatory, and states are left to interpret and implement them as they see fit. This creates critical gaps in both cybersecurity and physical security, as well as inconsistencies in chain-of-custody protocols. The Solution: ElectionRAMP ElectionRAMP would establish a standardized, comprehensive framework for election infrastructure security, bringing together cybersecurity, physical security, and procedural integrity into one cohesive system. Inspired by the FedRAMP model, which sets cybersecurity standards for federal cloud services, ElectionRAMP would create consistent, enforceable standards for any system used in federal elections. How ElectionRAMP Would Work: Rigorous Cybersecurity Standards: ElectionRAMP would mandate advanced cybersecurity protocols for all election technology, including voter databases, voting machines, and tabulation systems. This would include encryption standards, multi-factor authentication, and intrusion detection. Physical Security and Chain of Custody: Recognizing that physical security is as crucial as digital protection, ElectionRAMP would set standards for securing voting equipment, storage facilities, and transport processes. Chain-of-custody protocols would ensure that all election materials are accounted for at each stage of the process, from setup to vote counting. Certification and Accreditation for Vendors: Just as FedRAMP certifies cloud service providers, ElectionRAMP would establish a certification process for election technology vendors. This would include thorough security assessments, periodic audits, and re-certification to ensure vendors continually meet evolving standards. Dedicated Support and Training for State and Local Officials: ElectionRAMP would include a training and compliance office to support election officials at the state and local levels. This office would offer guidance, resources, and ongoing compliance checks to help local officials meet and maintain ElectionRAMP standards. Transparency and Public Confidence: ElectionRAMP would prioritize transparency and accountability by establishing clear reporting requirements for states and vendors. Election officials and technology providers would submit regular reports detailing compliance with ElectionRAMP standards, including updates on cybersecurity measures, physical security protocols, and audit results. This reporting framework would create a transparent process that’s open to public review, reinforcing public confidence in the security of our elections. Additionally, through the Election Transparency and Education Office, ElectionRAMP would make summaries of these reports available to the public, offering clear, accessible information on the status of election system security and certified technologies. This office would work to communicate ElectionRAMP’s ongoing efforts and improvements, helping build a foundation of trust and transparency in the election process. The Impact of ElectionRAMP: With ElectionRAMP, we can move beyond a fragmented approach and create a unified, resilient election infrastructure. This framework would build public trust, knowing that every vote is secure and every process transparent, regardless of the state in which it occurs. By creating a consistent and robust approach, we can safeguard our democracy for future generations. The Path Forward Now is the time to bring ElectionRAMP into action. Through collaboration between federal agencies, state governments, and private vendors, we can create a more secure, transparent, and resilient election infrastructure. Leaders, election officials, and policymakers—let’s work together to make ElectionRAMP a reality.

Nobodies celebrating, we’re all just tired and have no empathy left. We’ve been screaming for years to tone down rhetoric like Kirk’s. It never happens. Even now, major pundits and influencers are screaming “This is war!” Before we even know what happened. We’re not celebrating it, but we also don’t feel bad for him, either. And you know, that’s perfectly fine.

There’s a new political divide forming: If you celebrate when an innocent person whose political views differ from you is assassinated you’re gone. Don’t care what that person’s political persuasion is or how strongly you disagree with them. Cant think of one counterexample.

Tried @SteaknShake for the first time, and while the food is good, they skipped out the bacon on all of our bacon cheese burgers, as well as missing a fries. Not a great first impression.

Caroline County, MD - Presidential Election 2025 If you have been following along, I know you will be shocked to see that Caroline County has a bunch of mail-in ballots that come in at the end of the election, are evenly distributed from all precincts, and drive the cumulative ratio of the votes cast thus far (early, in-person, etc) down a parabolic decline.

@SafeVets @DrazhaS Sure. Keep cutting taxes and personnel, and then expect who..the ether?...to track anything, much less your list of attributes of mail-in ballots.

Yes, Ohi does track mail in ballots, but not live counts of ballots cast by party. Late-counted mail-in ballots are disproportionately from urban counties (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo). That's the whole reason I want to address this problem at the framework level, so that sort of disproportionality doesn't happen.

@SafeVets @DrazhaS Doesn't your State track mail in ballots like this? What is the underlying distribution of the uncounted mail in ballots near the end? Is it mostly from urban areas with large concentrations of Democratic voters? Why do you think that this pattern is suspicious?

A garment worker in Vietnam makes $200-300 a month. Someone who makes shoes in China makes $400-600 a month People who put together iPhones in China make about $3.00 a hour. But yeah, tell me how we're going to move manufacturing to the US.

I don't know what it means for a millionaire to get a $50,000 tax cut. I don't understand the difference between six and seven luxury cars. But I do know what it means for someone in my Hartford neighborhood to lose their Medicaid coverage. That's a life ruined.

Give veterans their job back? So I will assume these are veterans that were working for the federal government? I mean if they were fired for being DBags, them being veterans shouldn't override that. Still a better reason than they didn't take the shot. Wonder what your record is on that one?

Yeah, democrats have always been the party against civil rights. The party of the KKK, the party that stood against the civil rights act, and of course the party of slavery. They tell a good story, and pull at your heart strings, but if you look into it, they follow through like an absentee parent.

Democrats need to look inward and see why they lost, or they are doomed to fail again and again. Sure they can win a little here and there, but they do not appeal to the masses any longer. They are the rich, fighting for the rich. Decrying how they are fighting for the working class, while running them over again and again. And let's not get started on the ideals they take on men and women.

I’m back in DC with Sam to demand that Speaker Johnson hold a vote on our bipartisan resolution to allow new moms and dads to vote remotely while caring for their newborns. Speaker Johnson himself has voted remotely 39 times—but now he’s pulling every trick in the book to stop our resolution. New parents shouldn’t be blocked from doing their jobs just because they’re starting a family. We’re going to keep fighting until we get this done.
