@JBergounhoux What more would there be I guess to make it XR? It does video recording + photos, can take phone calls, play music, and has a built in assistant. That’s a pretty powerful combination of things imo. If it’s just a display, then is XR just HMDs of any kind?

@CixLiv Yes, there is some hazard there. Engage early to reduce (not eliminate…) the risk of last minute surprises. App Lab and SideQuest are backup plans, and can be migration points, but some things you may want to build may just not fit with the content team’s view of the store.

@SideQuestShane I don’t disagree that there can be dangers, but I think there are huge amounts of exceptions to printed age labels, without putting your children in any serious danger, with vr and tech in general being a big one.

Reading the article, it seems like generally exactly what we should want out of parents. Parents invested in their children and wanting better tools to ensure they have age appropriate content so they can still use this great tech is PERFECT for VR, even if the sticker says 13+

Of course there are rules. The parents are breaking them! When they let their child play multiplayer games that prohibit their presence on hardware that prohibits their use, the blame cannot possibly fall on game developers or tech companies. edition.cnn.com/2022/01/10/tec…
