@PrairieVeteran Our power goes out whenever there is a windstorm. Our gas has never gone out in the six years we've had it. Much cheaper than a heat pump for heating. We do like the heat pumps for the A/C though.

Carnage wants more Heat Pumps. Electric Heat Pumps. To keep oil in the ground, which is his goal. He doesn't mention the cost of electricity has risen on average 30% over the past 10 years since they took power. He also failed to mention that there is carbon tax on electricity. He needs you to switch to electricity because it helps him fulfil his goals as laid out in his book. It also generates A HUGE AMOUNT of income for the government. What other reason would there be?

@LichTamara CBC television is watched by 3.9% of Canadians and only .8% watch CBC News. Again, half of all media dollars, half. Half is spent engaging less than 4% of Canadians. Elizabeth Nickson

This story makes me feel physically sick. The CBC claims to represent all Canadians, yet Canadians don’t treat each other with such malice and hostility. They don’t mock and bully each other or set others up for the single purpose of shame and humiliation. Canadians don’t behave this way; bullies and insecure power trippers do. The CBC cannot be saved. The point of no return has been breached, ethically and morally.

I was testing my 14-year-old daughter today for a history exam, and we got to the topic of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. It struck me how much schools fail to teach about it. The Wall was built to stop people from fleeing socialism into capitalism. It's taught as if East Germans, Poles, and Eastern Europeans were simply fed up with their countries, but the deeper truth is they were fleeing socialism. And look at them now. Poles moving back, thriving under capitalism, GDP per capita rising at record rates. What blows my mind is that socialism, a system tried and failed over and over, is now being successfully promoted in places like New York City and Los Angeles. The pattern is clear: socialism is only popular among those who have never actually lived under it. The people who did are the ones who tore the Wall down.

Dumbest article ever! - all Indigenous-managed graves were “unmarked” - far fewer Indigenous kids died from disease at residential school than on a reserve - they died in hospital - and “200 potential unmarked graves were identified” in Kamloops is b.s. cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

This is unintentionally one of the strongest arguments for investing in the private sector instead of the public sector. One side takes decades, endless bureaucracy, exploding budgets, political fights, and still struggles to build a rail line. The other can coordinate capital, labor, engineering, logistics, and construction fast enough to build massive infrastructure in months. And somehow the conclusion is supposed to be “give the slower, less accountable system even more control.”

⛽️🪓🚫⚖️ : In 2022 ax wielding maniacs terrorized coastal gas workers at a job site in Northern British Columbia. Not a single person has been arrested in connection with that act of terror. How can companies invest in British Columbia when masked thugs wielding axes can show up to intimidate and terrorize workers? The ax wielding lunatics don't contribute to our economy, the gas workers do.

🇨🇦 Minister of AI @EvanLSolomon quite rightly calls out Ben Gvir s thuggish conduct. Most Israelis loathe this man and are furious with Netanyahu and his coalition of extremists for emboldening Ben Gvir and his ilk. But you have a lot of nerve, Minister. Your govt emboldens Jew hatred in 🇨🇦 every day. You support and pander to Islamists….in 🇨🇦 and abroad. Your great new ally….Qatar?!?!? Do you UNDERSTAND what that means, Evan? Maybe cut your own grass before you mow down others. You’re out of your depth. PMO talking points suck.

Canada has been clear that the protection of civilians and respect for human dignity must be upheld everywhere, at all times. Our Government demands assurances for the safety and security of Canadians involved and that international law is respected.

🧵Randi Weingarten and the corrupt AFT just had a MELTDOWN over our report exposing how they spent over $1.4 MILLION in teachers' dues on her ridiculous, communist book "Why Fascists Fear Teachers". In her press release she calls our report “fake”, “error-riddled”, and said we're funded by “dark money” from “undisclosed and unaccountable billionaires” whose mission is “to silence the voice of workers.” Reality check, Randi: Our report is based 100% on your own public LM-2 filings with the Department of Labor. No dark money. Just cold, hard numbers straight from the AFT’s own financial disclosure. This is the kind of tantrum union bosses throw when the receipts come out... (1/6)

Call it “bullshit” all you want, but reality keeps proving the point. School funding has risen for decades while literacy, math scores, discipline, and educational outcomes decline. The problem isn’t that schools “lack investment.” The problem is that public education increasingly functions like a protected bureaucracy with captive consumers, weak accountability, politicized incentives, and no serious competitive pressure to improve. If simply pouring more tax money into a government system solved problems, public schools would already be world leading by every metric. Instead, the more centralized and politicized education becomes, the more parents feel alienated from it and the worse the results get.
Tom Steyer@TomSteyer

This is bullshit. I promise you. Tax billionaires. Invest in schools.

True, because then they would not be socialists. They would be capitalists. That is the distinction they will never acknowledge. Capitalism is the system where you build, own, and trade what you create. Socialism is the system where you wait for someone else to build it and then take it. The reason socialists never build the means of production is not that they cannot. It is that their entire moral framework says they should not have to. Need is their claim check. Your ability is their asset. The moment a socialist picks up a tool and builds something for himself, he has refuted his own ideology.
Alice Smith@TheAliceSmith

If socialists could start building the means of production instead of seizing it, that would be great.
