In Revelation chapter 6 we find a rider on a white horse that has a bow without an arrow. In our Bible study group studying through Revelation, we found this missing arrow as significant. Ron Rhodes writes: “The bow without an arrow signifies that the antichrist’s world government will be established without initial warfare...peace is not removed from the earth until the second seal is opened...the antichrist’s government apparently begins with a time of peace, but it is short-lived, for destruction will follow, paralleling Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 5:3: “While people are saying, ‘There is peace and security,’ then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape” Ron Rhodes, God’s Prophetic Blueprint in Daniel and Revelation: A Comprehensive Guide to Understanding the End Times (Eugene, OR: Harvest Prophecy, 2026), 386–387
